I have heard that the Gambian Olympic squad will be based in York.
Does anyone know anymore information?

I was thinking I could offer information and support to them. A friendly face in a strange country.
I lived in the centre of York for 18 years and was in the hotel trade. I know the place really well.
Does anyone know how many people will be coming and what events they will be competing in?
How is it being funded?
Where do they train in Gambia?

As far as I am aware there is not a Gambian community in York.
I give up on here sometimes, nothing but negative postings.
I wish the Gambian team a very happy and successful Olympics. |
