When your child reaches 16 years old you just wonder how time flies, and I like many other parents was just amazed when one of my children reached this age earlier on in the year. Turning back the clock to July 22 1994 of Gambia's leap into the unknown and uncertainty of those early days as it made tentative steps to walk the true path of independence to throw of the shackles of Neo Colonialism to raise the guantlet and free the chains of underdevelopment and its sister poverty. So what are the accomplishments of those bold steps taken in 1994? Today's anniversary is the achievement of a nation efforts and accumulative achievements despite, setbacks and adversity what this pre-sufferage revolution has been able to produce despite its distractors efforts and attempts to sabotage and rewrite the history 22nd July,1994 legacy.
