Bigot is bitter because its in losing end. Bigotry is destined to be 'wipe off the map of this planet'. Bigot needs to question its flaws which is the reason decline. Why was the bigot hiding in the bush others show up? But bigotry is good for entertainment, I will educate bigot to have some manner and evolve to be human. No matter what the bigot says, we on the other hand are believer forever...

We'll be forever loving Jah
We'll be forever
We'll be forever loving Jah
Forever yes and forever
We'll be forever loving Jah, there'll be no end...

It is not assumption, it is a fact. I held animosity anything which is bigot. If anyone making reference and ridicule someone based on religion, race, ethnicity, I will stand up.

One can't ridicule someone based on the belief. Politics is different and religion is a belief system. It is an individual choice. I think, in this board Muslims are questioned, pressured more frequently than seculars, Christians or atheists. Their posts are being hijacked and they are harassed. I have not seen any Muslims here to put pressure on insult anyone. Contrary the common belief, it is secular and particularly the bigot are more aggressive on those are Muslims. My stand against the bigot is not in the name of the religion, it is politically motivated which is standing against bigotry. Same political motivation for the Palestine issues we had previously had discussion. My animosity has started against you when you made ethnic and ideological reference which have nothing to do with me.

BLESS! 'Tam' [an abbrevation]on topix is of course my unregistered name when I do not log in. This goes to show 'anyone' I always stand by my word rather than being a coward using different names. Again, I inherted this honour from my Serere roots. What is even funny is that, I have always said these things right here on several occasions. So the stupidity of 'you know who' by copying and pastings things I have always said, I find totally laughable. It is not a secret. How desperate! What a joke! I will try to find others comments I have made for the arab joke on this forum. Once I find them, I will post them here - time permiting. There is no secret. I have always stand by my words. LOL!

Oh! Here is another one with a well known arab muslim who hate blacks irrespective of whether they are muslims or not. He is of course the arab cousin of the joke on Bantaba [if they are not even the same person]. The arab uses all names to describe black people and doesn't even care if they are muslims or not. He has also been known to call for the deaths of all Black people. LOL.

Warning some of the language to and fro may be very nasty if you are sensitive.

I feel you now and quite possibly the reason why you could not stand me after I wrote the article about the killing of two Gambians by their Arab landlord. I put a lot of emphasis on my writings which might seem intolerable but I stand to defend the truth and thats about it, My friends are from very diverse backgrounds including Arabs. Yet if no one can be blamed and pinned where is the fun then. Maybe this might help change the trend in Saudi Arabia or the Arab culture and ideology of what the Blackman is and how he is treated whilst even in Mecca. How do you emphasize deeply rooted insecurity and racism in a people that don't seem to acknowledge the facts. People nowadays are judged by their actions and not race but I know how to differentiate between the two scenarios of whats real and obvious, so how do you deal with that kind of scenario then..................................................Peace

I have lots of criticism for Arabs being very marginalized group as a Muslim group. Some of them do have nationalistic and arrogant behavior against not only non-Muslim, non-Arab Muslim as well. And I do believe that most none-Arab Muslims are following the true Islam which is not based on race/ethnicity, for example, Gambians in general. First of all, I am not an Arab. And I do share your concern about Arab culture negativity towards non-Arabs i.e. black man, even Persians, Turks, Indo China-Muslims or European Muslims like Balkan Muslims. Arabs co-operate with British against Ottoman empire during world war one, then, losers became the colony of British empire. However, I always stick to my principle that 'do not judge anyone based on race, ethnicity, nationality'. Besides no ethnic group is perfect, we all have our flaws. My stand for Palestine is totally based on political. I am blessed to have an inter-racial family and it is a beautiful thing and I appreciate being human which belongs to one race, human race.

Flaws we all have including the sense of Nationalism and belongingness which at times seems to hamper good relations with other cultures. Makes me sick when the white man is treated as if he owes the black man something, I see some of my brothers engaged in dubious activities based on the fact that the individual is a non Gambian or white in general. It's some what acceptable to trick and steal from any white man. The same thing they have been accused of, the trend seems reversed nowadays. The way I see it every person in this world has their biases regarding other races, but balancing the two and understanding it's a melting pot due to globalization I would assume is the challenge. I see you and Tam been at each others necks for a while but ya'll both better than that. We all got the different points time to move on .....................................................Peace

Two points.

Potentially, as an individual 'black african' or 'white european' have the same potential to be racist. However, the power is important factor when it comes to racism. White racism had much more impact because they had more power during the colonization time even now. So circumstances like power, status more determining factor than genetic of the 'race'.

Historically, there are perspectives. History is not like a science like fact 1+1=2. Everyone has perspectives. You can be harsh judging the history, but you are biased. Everyone is biased when it comes to history. You can take lesson from the history, you can condemn what happened. At the same time, we are now dealing with the present. Look at south africans. They were under white rule, but after re-conciliation, blacks moved on. Do you want to fight forever and hate? They could have take revenge and be hostile against whites. Right? I look forward to the future. There is nothing I can do about past but i have a power to be a impact now and I am able to create the future.

I can't help but agree with your assumption since we are both on the same page. Yet the same power the white man exhibits the Arab also exhibits in the eyes of the blackman. He was more powerful and still more powerful. It seems the Black man after all is the victim of all these biases. I have never denied being biased at certain instances , it just depends on the topic at hand and my beliefs. Its all about now and the future yesterday is a forgotten mystery. I think most of us nowadays are in one of those interracial relationships with off springs, belonging to multiple races, making it a better place for them is key.........................................Peace

It is not entirely about biases. That is the nature of international relationship. One would be too naive if you expect other nation show mercy when it comes to survival. Jungle law. You need to stand on your ground. Can you blame Ottoman empire when they invade Europe. The best defense is offense, remember that. But I disagree how european colonization and arab relationship with africa to be same. European colonization was much more expanded as it involves military operations, political influence, economic dimension and religious as well. Also massive. Slavery for example, we do see many slaves in Brazil, Caribbean and North America not as much in Arabic countries. European colonization was much more organized and long term as it still have their hands in African affairs. Language is european in Africa. Law is european. History books are european. Many companies operating in Africa are european. Many spies are in Africa. They are still influencing and supporting internal conflicts in Africa. Most border that ignores the tribes today drawn by europeans. The impact of european colonization is much more massive than islamization. It was more militaristic and violent. You can't say same about Islamization. Islam influence was more on religious side. And not all was forced as many Africans simply choosen the Islam because they felt Islam was better. Or since Islam was 'written' instead of 'oral' it was naturally replaced the animism. For example, Bosnians became Muslim as Ottoman Muslim class was so much powerful at that time, some slavs just choose to be more powerful citizen. It was an individual and political decision. Islam was not different to expand in Indonesia, India, Central Asia, Iran as well. Islam is expanding many places in the world.

So, as a Gambia, it is good to know the history. The history is good to take lesson. It prepares you for the future.

Islam was ultimately the winner if thats the case and it is a strong argument simply because as you have addressed the influences of the colonialist and involvement within the region which I must admit is significant. Stability in Africa is going to be the nightmare of the west. Just because Slavery ended and colonization does not mean the West has lost control or stopped enjoying the economic value of chaotic regions. Take America and their involvement in the middle East as an example, What the American foreign policy spells out or represents is not in anyway beneficial to any nation. Its more like self first and others later maybe............................................Peace

In international affairs, diplomacy is based on the 'self interests'. And divide and rule the best tool. If you are weakened, I am in better position. They even use 'expanding democracy' to advance their influence in region. Do you think USA sincerely wants democracy in middleeast? If they do, they would not co-operate the devilish regime like Saudis. But things are changing now, west is on decline and east is rising. The priority of Africa must be unity and economic development. And use everything that can help the unity. If Islam is common denominator for example to unite Senegal, Gambia, Mali, Mauritania. Use it. The hate to Islam in the name of animism does not unite Africa, it divides. You see the bigot the animal declared muslims to be the enemy of Senegambia. That means 90 % of population is enemy of the country. I am not sure if that makes any sense at all.

Africa needs to unite. It maybe unrealistic to unite whole africa now but regional unity can be accomplished. For example some countries like that has commons like 'region', 'culture' from Mauritania to Niger, Guinea, Burkina Faso can be more integrated. They have familiar culture, languages, religion they are in the same region.

Today from Istanbul you can fly directly to Dakar, Ghana, JBourgh, Capetown, Addis, Accra, Lagos, Nairobi, Embette and many places. And the planes have less than 30 percent filled but government has subsidy. China is all over in Africa. Why? Africa has big promise, everyone one knows it, I guess except some Africans.

Try uniting the people of Kombos and the people of Banjul and then and only then can you find out how far off the African is from being a united front to reckon with even a regional front meaning west Africa or Moslem West Africa. Trust me Have you been 50 kilometers away from Banjul. Unity is the African unachievable dream. It has to be some kind of divine intervention a regional coup and a dictatorship for atleast 50 years to accomplish that goal..................................................................Peace

I will not say unachievable, but it is very difficult. I like to be optimistic. (I have been up to Basse btw). I understand your concern about 'internal conflict', 'challenges of unity within Gambia' in the name of the 'democracy'. I realize that Gambia is already divided by 'tribes', plus 'islam and christianity', 'language', 'urban and city boys', 'secular' and 'religious' plus the agenda of our bigot. Yes it is very difficult. And democracy usually makes things much slower and may creates instability. That is why I wish Gambians to find a away to eliminate all these obstacles with a 'unique gambian model' that enables them to develop and to unite. I am not sure 'western democracy' is actually good for Gambia.
