Kiwi, The avater is the man himself. Check out the Bantaba homepage, you will find the photo. Well, as it happens somebody once try to confuse me with Dalton, just because we happen to use Malcolm X as our avater.

Santafara, I like your new avatar. It is time for me to change to the Gambia's defacto political leader, Hallifa's latest photo, huh?

I like Momodou's makeover too. That reminds me that afterall Moe is only a 'Banana'.

Looks like after Malcolm X, you downgraded your avatar.

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices.

I consider that an insult Turk. In as much we have a different political stance, i value your oppinions. Please lets not go there, leave that to Banana heads. Ousainou has laid down his life in speaking for the voiceless against oppression, just like Malcolm did. Hence, they are all on the similar journey.
Tyranny is the same regardless of who is committing it.

Interesting observation. I was comparing the popularity rather than having the similar goals. Insult? LOL. Is a statement that you downgraded the avatar of Malcolm X, whom most people on this planet know, to; someone known only in a country with 1.3 million people, insult? One can't even get humour on my statement! But insult to who? How is it insult when I pointed out that Malcolm X greatness. I think you are insulting Malcolm X's importance, impact on the world when you attempt to compare this dude? Malcolm is universal icon, hero from USA to China, from Grenada to Mecca. Ousainou is local personality, a political party leader, within Gambia only. What is next? Is he comparable to Mandela or Gandhi?

You fail to comprehend one thing turk. What was Malcolm X fighting against? And what did Ghandi and mandela fought against? Was it not injustice? The greatness of human beings are comparable only with the purpose of their sacrifice. This is why, all defenders of human right, justice and peace have a unity of purpose.
I guess to you, your disdain for Gambians only reveal one thing, your mayopic dilusion with issues affecting Gambians. This is why, for a Turk, that is, if it actually true, you are confuse with many issues Gambians. However, I know better. A Turk wouldn't waste his energy of defending a murderer day and night. A Turk wouldn't go on defending a drug baron con spiritual healer day and night. He would have tasked himself with something worthwhile.

Malcolm X would have spoken against tyrants like Yahya, he would label them clowns and right abusers any day.
Hence, the language against oppressors is the same the world over. This is why, Malcolm X efforts can be replicated across the globe. In fact, Malcolm would love to associate with those who speak his language, speaking loud and clear against broad day light murderers of Gambians and non-Gambians. Because Malcolm knows, men that stand up for justice are equal in front of God. If you are comfortable using a murderer as your avater, why be twisting with mine? The insult is, you cannot see the crimes in your actions whilst trying to point out a baseless senario.
Did you remember what you wrote to me in private.. that reveals a lot more than you wish.

Absolutely Janko. I wonder why our distinquish Turk is bringing up unrelated issues in a welcome message. Talk of uncivility. Folks can't just leave people alone. I am not interested in engaging those who sealed their eyes and ears.

I explained to you that my 'downgrade' reference is for the 'popularity' rather than objective of both individuals. Wasn't it enough for you? And you still going further. What is wrong with you?

quote:
disdain for Gambians

I am not confused with issues with Gambians. I am just not agreeing with the opposition focus. In my opinion, there are other priorities for Gambians and opposition is not capable to provide solutions for Gambians' problem. I have no crimes in my actions, other than expressing my thoughts. My action here is to provide my perspective.

My post is related. You explained why you changed your avatar from Malcolm X to opposition leader, I pointed that is downgrade in terms of the popularity of those two individuals.

No wonder we Muslims are chastise for all sorts human rights issues. Why should Gambians not want democracy, the rule of law and justice? And what assessment have you carried out to conclude that, the opposition cannot give Gambians the virtues of genuine democracy and fair play? No Gambian is asking you to think for them...

For God sake, be humble my friend.
