Moe, you haven't answer the question but instead decided to peddle insults. I will not engage you on that. You have already made yourself a fool when you question Darboe's knowledge and skills. Not even the APRC has ever gone that far. That tells me that you are interested in nothing but spreading inuendo.
I had expected a mature debate underpinned by facts or reasonable held opinions but that is not what I have seen.

First and for most Darboe is a lawyer and not a Politician. He's lost his opportunity to rule Gambia. It's time for him to salvage what he can from what he knows best, and stand aside and let some new energy emerge to bring about a credible opposition one not based on class, one based on the common good of the Gambian people.

I think I have answered your question? You can call it disparaging based on your own assumption but everytrhing I stated has an element of truth to it, to be more blunt I guess it would require me to spell it out for you. It's just a matter of time before the inevitable happens, It's funny that every thing I say is an innuendo, Tell Femi Peter's junior to call his Aunty in Gambia and enquire about whether Darboe's own relatives believe that he ought to resign from the UDP party for sending innocent ,uninformed men to jail. I don't speak Chinese and for sure don't mix it with Japanese,Thats for the cyber clowns. Darboe needs to save us the time of day and hand over the Baton to someone like you who could get rid of all the menace. Otherwise, you are either coming across as a dummy or someone who is trying to insult the intelligence of the readership here.
I can see your prejudices here; class. I am sure Darboe has no apologies for his middle class status. As for who leads the udp, that is a matter of the general membership, not you. So you are better of forever keeping your peace or better still do more research to uncover facts not crap.

| Note I never once stated that a lawyer or Watchman cannot be a president, or make a good choice for a LEADER. Most believe leaders are born with it but I tend to disagree,anyone can be made a leader. when a man lacks basic leadership skills, well or chooses to disregard them disqualifies him, for he simply has lost way and direction Period......................................................Peace |

Out of your your generosity, you seem to exhaust your fine time with details about lawyers turning into political leaders.
It is no business of Sister Omega to advice a party she is no part of. She is just too nosy and would play adviser where she is not needed. That is strange though. |

Nyarikangbanna thanks for the list of Lawyers who have become heads of State or Politicians. You forgot to mention Nelson Mandela a fantastic Lawyer who languished in jail for 27 years along with his comrads because of his principles, and didn't cower away and run for cover as soon as the going got tough!
Nyarikangbanna maybe its time you familiarised yourself with critical thinking cause there are so much holes in your agrument that anyone could make a string vest out of them. Even Darboe himself has lamented that he'd sacrficed his day job to pursue an unachievable dream. Darboe is a lawyer as for Leadership qualities he lacks both the vision and conviction to be prepared to die for the principle he aspouses to believe unlike Nelson Mandela.
Coupled with that he is paralysed by fear that's why he didn't take up his place in the National Assembly in 2001, making excuses to back the ulimate sacrifices that a principabled Leader would make. His feeble strategy was to use the media as the debating chamber and hoped the west would come to his rescued, which has failed.
Even when certain elements of the opposition tried to sign up mercenaries in London to execute Jammeh their plot failed. As for me advising the UDP you are incorrect Bredren as I'm an APRC Supporter without an apology.
So I'll lock off by using a quote from Nelson Mandela to critique the error of Darboes dyfunct opposition
"I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear."
Jammeh unlike Darboe had the courage to conquer his fear and seize power to emanicipate Gambians from mental slavery to establish the APFRC and progress the country along the road to sustainable progressive development.
So Nyarikbanna I'm into progress not running around in circles chasing my tail. If that's how you choose to conduct your politics continue. Darboe as a Leader has proven himself to be a joke period!If these cyber half baked wheelers are his solution for spin then his only hope to winning 2011 elections. It would be better for all voters to go Green, and start rolling up their sleeves and doing what needs to be done, cause right now the West's doors are going to be locked. Especially here in Britain to Non EU Citizens.

People need to to free their minds of fear and go for what they want in their lives, and that's all to do with preception. Think Big and think outside of the box.
There are 555 members on this site and it would be really interesting for more members to express their thoughts on this subject. Let's stop the blame game, stop the brain drain and get to work on getting more of what we want out of life and less of what we don't want. It's for us as individuals to make the most of what we have by developing our natural skills and abilities. The principle of freedom isn't sole dependence on anyone family member or Leader but taking 100% responsibility for yourself and co-operating with us to achieve much much more! The past has gone, the future is yet to come, and all we have is the present. That's why its the present. So we need to make the most of it. This applies to all of us.
