Since yaya Jammeh seized power by coup in July 1994, he never stops entrenchment of military rule. All we see around us in Gambia is perpetuation of military culture. There is hardly an interval that set of military personnel are not decorated with new titles.

The reason that good governance is still not given life in Gambia is because Yaya Jammeh prefers military empowwerment more than good governance.

Is military culture good for Gambia?

No, it's an irrelevant and emmasculated entity, without the mojo to brag about.

Karamba, Jammeh derives his power from the military; and the military continues to be his biggest headache today. Jammeh is aware that the military is the biggest threat to his power. Therefore he is leaving no stone unturned to appease the men-in-uniform and constantly shift the power balance in the military (by dismissals and new promotions) to prevent any plot against him...

Kitabul Arerr,

I agree with you totally. You have very clearly pitched the situation. There is nothing to brag about military might as Yaya tends to, even though his is not as mighty. Yet he destroys us by plunging our resources like Kayjatta observed, appeasing the uniform personnel.

In the look of things Kay, Jammeh may not survive the looming military threat. Only a matter of time, but signs are glaring.

I agree Karamba. The (military) forces that created him will inevitably end up destroying him, sadly. That is what often happens...

Most undeniable of all reasons why Gambians have to get rid of Yaya Jammeh from the political arena is to do with his disorientation. Gambians are thinking of normal politics. Yaya is thinking of military power extended to dictatorship. There is total disparity. We are not together.

He (Yaya) has either got to conform with norms of civil politics or quit. You cannot wear the crown of a king and conduct affairs of that state in manners of an army general. This issue has not been brought to public attention in serious accord. It is now time to examine where we stand about matters at hand.

Are we for this military ways or do we want to restore civil order? After more than 15 years, Yaya failed to appreciate and to play by rules of civil politics. That is very serious matter of public interest.

You need to go back Home for real Kayjatta , I feel sorry and sympathetic for you. Are you just as Backward as your boy Karamba ? If ya'll waiting for a successful coup again ,well it's just because you don't know a damn thing about your country, The military that can take out the Jammeh regime is non existent my stupid friends ,hence the reason for Lang and company to bring in Mercenaries, purchase weapons and try to bring them into the country. Just take notes village boys your "Mbaring" is speaking. The military is not as equipped as most of you fools think to succeed in a coup.So what the hell are you agreeing with Kayjatta ,on the other hand I think everyomne knows you are the retarded Pa in cyberspace....................................................Peace

You don't need to be well equipped to take Jammeh out, Moe. All you need is a "big stick"...

Make sure not to go to "Marabout" for "listihaar"/future telling? Rest be assured that you will be exposed, SENTENCED & given bookings at "Shaitaaneh" hotel; for all "Marabouts" including Moe are in Jammeh's D1Million ransom

Furthermore there is a strong Gambian oligarchy or mafia style of government; including Chiefs, Alkalos, Governors, businessmen, Heads.......that cannot be penetrated or convinced in that conspiracy

Within the ranks of the Arm forces LOYALTY & ALLEGIANCE TO SERVE COMMANDER IN CHIEF UNDER OATH

JAMMEH IS THE ONLY ONE BENEFITING FROM ESTABLISHMENT OF THE GAMBIA ARMY. EVERYONE IS CONSIDERED SERVING HIM OR SUBJECTED TO THE COMMAND OF COMMANDER IN CHEIF! ISN'T IT

Kay and Kobo,

Don't mind this lame Jammeh zombie. As for you Moe, get a life and be sincere. Will you response to questions and refrain from this noisy confusion? You are total waste of your own time.

Spinning joker, Moe, there you go again.

The simplest meaning of lies will be severe deviation from the truth.

What I write here is no deviation from the truth at all. However, your wild and hostile assumptions are typical deviations from what holds. You have no way of gaining from speculation about what standard anyone stands on. Does it matter? From what many believe, those who keep on pecking about low standards are very much closer to that that ring. Sorry about whatever bothers you.
