I totally condemn this act because it is not in line with any law in the world." Darboe told militants.

He advise supporters not to rejoice with the recent development within the government stressing that despite the fact that this people were once allies of the president, this should not make any one happy as all those involved are Gambians and we should show respect and sympathize with them and their families as they once served in top positions in the country.

Alieu Darboe UDP Kembujeh Ward Sponsored Candidate in his opening remarks appealed to Gambians to promote unity among them. He stated that his main interest to become a politician is to contribute his quota to national development as a Gambian as well as to promote unity, peace, stability and the promotion of the youth, children and women in the country. "We should not be enemies but opponent as politics is all about opinions but not enmity." He challenged the youth population to participate in the politics of the country as they are the agents of change and future administrators "We are today committed than ever before," he informed the meeting.

Dembo by force Bojang the party’s propaganda secretary thanked the Brikama branch for their determination in their fight for true democracy. He said this is how politics should be perceived saying that the entire UDP Executive and membership are behind the branch. By force Bojang, the former Bakau Parliamentarian, observed that Jammeh would not go unaccounted, noting that all the millions he has been spending are being recorded by the UDP and also those receiving should know that when changes come, they would pay back the money to the Gambians as it is theirs and not Jammeh’s.
