Some music for the weekend
Bala Ranks - BADINYAA music video Artist Bio Musa Kuyateh (Bala Ranks) was born in Basse Manneh Kunda in the Upper River Region in Gambia, West Africa. Born : 26/07/1980. Lives in Kanifing.
Has been performing Afro Manding and Reggae music for the past 5 years. His most outstanding achievement to date is placing 2nd in the Gamcel Chartbuster, a National TV Programme in Gambia.
Currently working on his first album. Inspired by his musical parents, Richie Spice, Lucky Dube (RIP) and Sizzla Kalonji.

Thanks, Tomaa. I have added a few videos recorded during my visit and can be viewed under 'This week's Feature' on the mainpage(www.onegambia.com). The videos added are: Kankurang dancers at Janjanbureh, Fula wedding songs, Mandinka drumming at a namin ceremony, Jola Dancers at a wedding ceremony and Nghansing bondoo at kian Jifarong. The entire videos will be available on dvd end of April. |
