This is dedicated to all women who wear the Hijjab.
THE BEST WOMAN
She is none other than MY sister,
Although some may beg to differ
Bear with me so that I may explain
Thereafter, you shall surely ascertain
I admire the fact that she is a woman
Who's master is ONLY Allah, not any man
She proudly and modestly wears her veil
For unlike other women, she is NOT for sale
The myth is that 'she is depressed and oppressed'
The truth is that 'her heart within her chest is at rest for she is blessed'
Behind her veil, is immense tranquility
Confined within infinite felicity
She is free from men's devilish temptations of lust
Therefore free from this backward society's disgust
Some fail to realize that her way of life is her choice
As they fail to realize that she indeed has a strong voice
She is a daughter, a mother and a wife
Who's position is unmatchable for life
She is peacefully and amazingly freely free
As blessings ascend upon her to the highest degree
Why wouldn't she be
When she follows the footsteps of the likes of Khadijah, Fatimah, Assia and Marie?
She is to never be rejected nor neglected,
But rather to forever be respected and protected
By Allah, the way she lowers her gaze
Makes her worthy of sound praise
She is the way she is by Allah's Grace,
Doing it for ought but for the sole desire to see His Face
In her, is found great character and humility
As a result of her modesty shaped by her morality
Uttered by her are only words good and precise
Words of wisdom from Allah, His Messenger and the wise [1]
Though she is covered from head to toe,
It is her decision and choice, if you must know
She has accepted and is pleased with Allah's Deen [2],
Thus has He made her a worldly and heavenly Queen
And that is why I say she is the best woman you could ever see,
Would you then not honestly agree?
Her beauty is reflected in her words and actions
So to hell with their false claims and accusations
She is MY sister, in whichever part of the world she may be
She is MY sister, and she is freely FREE!
