Mawdo Momodou, forum admins, contributors & readers:
Do accept my appreciation of the continuous enlightenment in this and other fora. Now that another christmas and new year (Muslims, christians, others) are nigh, I hope we all resolute for the better. I pray for the sick, the needy, the oppressed and those in special need. I ask God to root out all world dictators, terrorists, human crusadors, and all other societal elements from planet earth.

As we enter the year 2010, I am thankful for my life, my family and my wonderful friends. For those of you who lost loved ones in 2009, may Allah heal your souls. For those affected by the economy, may 2010 be the best year ever.
By the way, Saturday, December the 18th. starts a new year based on the Islamic calendar (year 1431 after Hijrah); the 1st of Muharram and it's recommended to fast on the day of Ashura (December 28th). |

I see Christmas as a time to count my blessings...a nice home, a good man, lovely children...a nice extended family, plus a lovely dog and cat! A few very good reliable friends..... Just about enough money to get by!
Peace and Goodwill to you all. |

| The end of a year brings in memories of what we all went through, for some it was wondrous, for others awesome and full of all that is desirable but for others it was utter misery, and so the list runs on for various people. I pray that the coming year brings in loads of changes for the better, that those who were suffering get respite and a better life, that those who lost dear ones take solace in the fact that we all shall one day too , succumb , but whilst we live we remember our dear departed praying for their salvation in the hereafter as we also pray for our own progress and prosperity as the living inheritors of the Earth. May we all enjoy a glorious festive season , sharing it in perfect peace, I also pray that our leaders get a change of heart so that they could lead us with mercy and not to perdition. May our people have the courage to face the challenges of the next year and others to follow, as no one is certain about what the future holds , we can ; as lowly human beings only hope and pray for salvation. May Allah bless our country and all other countries in the world and preserve the world saving it from all the various calamities ; both natural and man made. Amen |
