Excellent Movie. Loved it.

diaspora! Too many Chiefs and Very Few Indians.

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices.

The movie is really pro-environment, anti-war. When the Army commander gave a speech on 'fight terror with terror, pre-emptive...', I thought they took the script from the dubya. Also, the movie was a good cristism on how western aggression on Native Americans, Africans during the history. Blue people in the movie was clearly were portrayed as native americans and africans (the accent of the witch woman, dreads etc). Some say movie is racist towards caucasian as it demonized them. I disagree. The hero, jack and the scientist, were caucasian. Please watch it.

More discussion on racism. One claim is that, the hollywood always have the 'white hero' to rescue the natives/africans.

Personally I would lean more towards this view as expressed in the article:

"Bolivia's first indigenous president, Evo Morales, has praised "Avatar" for what he calls its message of saving the environment from exploitation."

What you think is personal and just a brilliant exploitation of new technology and thinking,as a film it has to have a good story, its all about jumping on the bandwaggon and making money, and that is just what it has done,it will definetly be remembered as a first and a classic in cinema history.

So far, the movie was

- Anti-war
- Anti-western
- Anti-Abrahamic Religion
- Pro-environment
- Racist because it portrayed whites as bad
- Racist because it portrayed whites as good (whites are heroic, but african/natives can't stand up for yourself)
- Anti-Military

what else?

I think the 'Avatar' is an "excellent movie" as Toubab said, because it is all of what Turk also has said (listed) above. The movie will, no doubt, mean different things to different people; but that is what partly makes it a great movie ...
