I was wondering if many Gambian's make it to the festival?

It would be great if some of the talented musicians could get funding to appear at the event. I'm sure they would be well received.

Drummers, Kora players etc..... It is a world stage for talented musicians and it would be great to see Gambia represented.

If anyone on here is involved in Gambian music of a good standard perhaps they could contact the venue, theworld@stgeorgeswest and try to get some Gambian acts involved.

I saw an excellent Kora player at Lamin lamin. He would definately be of a suitable standard. Likewise some of the acts at the cotton club.

Also there was a guy who used to play at badala who sang Bob Marley stuff...what happened to him? Havent seen him for a while.

Wouldnt it be great if we had a Gambian party night at the festival next year?
