Snuggles, very well put together giving a truthfull outline of The Gambia as a tourist would see it,there are many items that posters could expand upon,it is at the moment the rainey season on bantaba in cyberspace with many people having migrated elswhere,as you say, " August is usually the wettest month, making some roads impassable for days on end. The period from March to May is normally rainless, but dust and wind from across the Sahara can be a torment" relate those words to Bantaba in Cyberspace and that is where we are at the moment.
I wish you luck with responses to this posting.

People still here might find this page of interest,

http://www.peacecorpsjournals.com/?showcountryinfo,ga

There is lots to choose from and they are stories by normal people about their experiences with the real Gambia,I found them very interesting,(didn't find any politics though )

Not much point in me making a comment on a posting that has been deleted,so disregard what I have written above, because it does not make sense now.

Snuggles, why not write an introduction and paste the URL (Link) to the website if you feel that it is interesting?

Come on Snuggles wake up now.....after your late night browsing the net

I am sure that you made Snuggles very happy kiwi, nothing more frustrating that finding a page and then not being able to find it again when you want it,Snuggles, you won't do that again I suspect, people on Bantaba are very estute and always like to check their facts before they post so its always a good idea to put a link to where you found the information, this serves a reminder to you as well,so you can always go back again.
I made a posting some time ago and didn't do enough research and took what I read in a Gambian online newspaper at face value, only to have it pointed out by another poster that the company I was posting about was a land company and had no decernible connection with anything to do with railways!
