Dalton1,
It is possible to get the money out of the jungle but not so easy to get the jungle out of the monkey. Jammeh's criminal mind that pushed him to stage a coup, killed young students and and others in Gambia is fix in him. How does he thunder about as though he owns Gambia?Once a criminal, always a criminal.
The other most bitter insult is when Jammeh projects himself as bearing the only soul watched by Good's angels. Do you think a truly religious person will do what Jammeh does? At least a truly non- religious person will boast of doing what Jammeh does.
Pretending to be good when he knows being the most wicked person is where people have to see the difference betwenn the speeches and actions of Mr Jammeh. |

My brother Karamba,
Stand outside your house and imaginarily see the dark cloud hanging on our heads...With these comments from him , do we wait to be victims before we can cry foul again? May be I am reading too much from these articles. May be I am taking him too serious. All I can alert you on ...all good people, these threats are serious. "prevention before cure!"
have a good day bro.
Regards, D... |

| folks you see this is one of the reasons i can never support Yaya jammeh politically.when ever he goes to that GRTS to vent his anger, the more my conscience rejects him.I believe gambians are the most friendly, peaceful and resiliant people in the world and the least they deserve is a leader who is constantly threatening them of blood shed and burials (six feet).Yaya jammeh should consider himself lucky to be ruling gambia and he can only do as he is doing only in gambia, thanks to the calm and paseverance nature of gambian folks.but he should stop taking them for granted because they are peaceful, selfless and very God fearing people.if not the nature will soon intervened and jammeh will soon be history. |

To Karamba & others: You may criticise Jammeh for his attitude towards the press, which is indeed not very pleasant.
But reading your contributions I keep in mind that many greedy hands are stretched out for the African continent, and that any African president who refuses to be the poodle of the industrial nations is constantly demonised, discredited and fought by their mouthpiece - the so-called 'free' press. You know that e.g. 'reporters without borders' is a CIA-organisation, don't you?
Africa is in highest danger at the time. International unit trusts buy large areas of land in the poorest countries to grow crops for the world market. This is purest neo-colonialism; critics fear that the people in Africa will suffer badly from this new variety of colonial plunder. Those who understand German should read this:
http://www.spiegel.de/wirtschaft/0,1518,638435,00.html Gambia as a small country may be unaffected by this tendency. But thank God you have a president who is concerned about keeping his country self-supporting by agriculture which is not in the hands of those locusts. With this, Jammeh shows a better sense for the country's commercial requirements than most of his critics.

Serenata,
Your concerns are well noted. Perhaps we need to draw the line deeper along the avenues of history. Yahya Jammeh is certainly not one of those AFRICAN LEADERS in conflict with the WEST or CIA. This man came to power through a coup. That was illegal. He is still battling for total recognition and control, a matter many Gambians refuse to accept his ways. Plus the fact that he threatens, kills, and maims adds up to the amount of unhappy people confronting Jammeh.
He was not voted in a decent political process. That is very important to take good note of. When he now insists on staying for another forty years, how does that sound like?
Let us get facts separated from fiction. What Yahya is facing is certainly not the West or Media as he likes to project. He is doing the wrong things and that is alarming. |

The President referring to the GPU 7 said: “Those people, they will face the full force of the law and we are not going to compromise.”
“Those people", Mr. Pres., are law abiding citizens, exercising their rights to disseminate relevant info to the Gambian people. Are we suffering from "guilty conscience", sir?
This "sai sai" attitude's got to stop! |

How Chief Jammeh gets himself thinking and acting the ways he does is quite astonishing.
Gambians will never forget the scale of down right ungratefulness by a man in Jammeh's person. Using a whole country's resources getting from rags to riches is much of shame to Jammeh.
Talking or writing about his looting and booting is what he calls sedition.
There are all indications that Chief Jammeh is spelling his inevitable doom. Some of those close to him will end up running away when normal life returns to Gambia. They will fear for the bad things shared with chief Jammeh in these terrible times. |

Sister Serene,
You got a good point. Matter of fact, just recently I followed revelations about Charles Taylor's escape in a U.S prison. The same charles together with others ruined Liberia. We have a long way to go.
