Kay,where did you get this from:
"Justice is the end of government. It is the end of civil society. It ever has been and ever will be pursued until it be obtained, or until liberty be lost in the pursuit...", Alexander Hamilton, U.S. lawyer and politician.

I prefer this write up to validate your quote.

Snippet from the above:
In reality, the candidates say very little of substance about the issues that truly affect our lives. They seem to be "poor players" making speeches filled with meaningless rhetoric and empty platitudes in their quest for the highest office in our land. To avoid offending anyone, they merely tickle the ears of uninformed supporters while dodging pivotal issues like illegal immigration, morality and the supremacy of the Constitution.

This is one reason I dislike politics.

This quote is by Alexander Hamilton, one of the 'Founding Fathers' of the United States. The quote is found in many sources now, but the first time I came across it was in a text book called "American Government" (I think) used in a class I attended some years ago ...

Hey Toubab, concerning the link you provided and your comments. Did you hear someone say that political candidates "campaign in poetry and rule in prose" ?

It's like they would say in the Gambia; "you date a girl with lies and tell her the truth after you marry her". Do not try it! Not a good idea ...
