Since Yaya Jammeh seized power by force of arms on Gambian soil in July 1994, he never lacked twist of manners playing the game of governance as magician.
When he runs out of steam, this self imposing character breaks ground by resorting to some cracking affairs.
From his oil discovery, witch hunting, cure for HIV/AIDS, change of public servants like underpants, Jammeh is always the hero. All others are good for nothing.
Now is the time for Gambians coming to terms that Jammeh has nothing to offer. Instead, he takes away all that was abundantly for good of Gambians. The rest is history.
This recent sackings and replacements is nothing less than the magical shows he knows best.

Base on information reaching the media, you are accurately on spot on this suitable headline. It goes on to vindicate this old adage. Recyling upon recyling! Firing upon firing! One by one, like a tsunami flood...I told you; the electric sweeping broom is at 360 degrees.
I am truly saddened, even where I may have my disagreement with some of those getting fired, but let us face it -they have families to take care. That makes it hard to swallow the news, especially the magnitude at which the big trees are falling.

Regrettably, I have s VHS, that I can, "yes I can" convert to mpeg format, and share, depicting Yahya in typical campaign mood. Lashing out wildly, with Dalasi, ano?, to the prospectively/willing voters.......... Does "Duukuu" sound familiar?
I'll share the video when converted. I can't promise when. Almost 30+ minutes long.......................................... |

| You still don't understand the big picture,Welcome to African politics 101 ,Ask Halifa why despite all their efforts ,it seems practically impossible to vote any African president out of office. It's what the People want,If you go to Dalton's Village and you don't give the elders anything , you ain't gonna get nothing in return . Even if i were President ,they won't be able to vote me out if i shake hands with the elders and do what is expected . First you recognize their territory and supposed power,rub their hands ,then and only then will you get the votes.I grew up on the campaign trail and i don't miss it.....................................Peace |

In Doktar Yahya's Gambia corruption is normal. Corrupt the youth, elders, green members, cyber parrots, everyone and everything. Reason: To corrupt votes and cement a dead wood structure, call it my government.
Are we trading on corruption here? When does it become acceptable to decent humans that survival of the most corrupt makes a famous misleader?
A house built on the soft sand of corrupt grounds will one day fall to pieces. That is why Alpha Yahya is now destroying his own fabric of bandits he calls government.
Take it or leave it people, Yahya will end his own show. Hold him before he commits suicide. |

| Yep, pennies from Heaven and they love it!!!. It gives them a chance to feel important,by sharing the "Sucree" and Malloh amongst the community,Their kingdom then comes to light. The idea of involving government hired employees into Gambian Politics was the closing chapter and was introduced into Gambian Politics before the coming of Jammeh....................................Peace |

Karamba I oppose your assertions about structures built under Sheikh, DR, Alh, President Yahya A J J Jammeh's regime. Nation building starts with building structures and then providing the necessary equipments and personnel. Without buildings where do you think the teachers, doctors etc will be conducting their responsibilities effectively and effeciently. Where will the patients be admitted? where will the kids learn?
Road construction is vital as it ease the flow of goods, services and people from place to place even remote areas. MMB Shekh, DR, Alh, Yahya A J J Jammeh has been and is still striving tooth and nail to make sure development and improvements as well as sustaining education, transportation, agriculture, health name it are met. USA is a good example where nation building started with building infrastructures; roads, bridges, schools, railroads, hospitals etc. |

I know one thing, we the Badibunkas love the new highway. I can get to my village ( Sorry Moe and another VILLAGER. lol) from Barra in under two hours. No one can argue the fact that APRC has acheived a lot, there has been a lot of infrastructual developments in the last 15 years.
AFPRC's shortcomings are human rights and rule of law.
If the APRC's second revolution delivers on Humand Rights and Rule of law, no one can challenge them in the near future. Unlike what some want us to believe The Gambia is not a failing state, there is hope and it is going to take all of us to Develop the Gambia. |

Well, well, let's get matters in better perspective. The challenge for Jammeh is not levelled on his building of roads, bridges, classrooms, and health posts. After all he is paid to deliver the common goods and services.
To use the provision of what he is required by position of public responsibility does not mean he breaks laws without being challenged. It does not also qualify him to keep the job for life.
No matter how much a person does as occupier of public position, it is proper to have limitation.
The manner Jammeh takes things goes like he is indispensable and God-sent. That is not sensible thinking. It is also very wrong whatever way this is viewed expect through biased spectacles.
There is nothing excessive about challenging Jammeh to behave normal and to respect people's rights.
For him to embark on mass termination of public position holders suggests that he is the all-perfect.
What is happening in Gambia through the thick fingers of Yaya Jammeh is serious shame and needs stopping.
There is no reason that Jammeh has to stay on making mistakes and some times willful damage to people and whole society.
If he is tired for taking up a task that was never for him in the first place, he's got enough of it by now.
To agree or not is not the issue here. The fact is that for one person to stay on a position like president of a nation, that is not good.
This is not an empire and Jammeh is no founder of the Gambian nation as he pompously positions himself.
Let us take matters serious and consider that the damage being done is national and not personal to even those seen to be bitter challengers of this most painful experience meted out to good people.

| Karamba Yahya is choosen by Gambian voters, so it does not matter whether he stays there for hundred of years or not as far as he is providing the needs of the citizenry and continue to win elections. If you don't want to face and see the reality then so be. Jammeh will be there until Mohammed reach the required age to be the president then succeed him. |

Nothing personal Sir. There's something wrong and needs looking at. Should Chief Yahya stay till the baby successor takes over, let it be. Certainly nothing personal.
What comes so clearly is the fact that Jammeh is bound to doom and many will live to regret why they have chosen to fall for his crafty deception. Don't pray to be such fatal victim.
All that keen observation is uncovering is that selfish individuals dupe the multitude in mobilising whatever that keeps Chief Jammeh where he gets to.
When those people fall out of grace, they wish to see Yahya dead instant. Eventually they freeze in their chambers of shame and despair waiting for the chief's inevitable doom.
It may not take sooner than some of them wish, especially when they suddenly fall into pieces, being chopped off.

much respect Ebra, long time. Your statement above equate someone who looks at another's child to be better than his own. i don't know whether you have a child yet, but i would hope that your child has an equal stake to rule the Gambia to that of Yahya Jammeh's. So Yahya's son is no better than your son in wish to rule the Gambia likewise the many thousand Gambians.As for Yahya staying there for as long as he want. that is also equal to you claiming that Yahya is better than you and he is more capable than you in leadership and leading. If in your case that is so, i would like to think at least 100,000 Gambians don't think so, so it should like a true democractic system where leaders are change for new visions and directions. No matter how good people think Obama is, he is only going to be charismatic for a certiain period and he will start to degenerate. Yahya has degenerated years ago, that is why he is always doing the same things over and over. hiring, firing, blaming others, window dressing- imprisoning, denying crimes, partying and bluffing on every giving occasion.
ebra, you are very intelligent to insult yourself in an open forum. You may even be a far better president than yahya.
Again, our democracy is an imperfect one. Jawara was there until promted, he could have been there until today. similarly Yahya being there is not a question of perfect democracy, but the notion of incumbency. it could have been you or Karamba or sam or Antuman and Famurama who knows. |
