Lenrie Peters The man that was Led a life full of spice He spelt the words and cured the ills Living a life of success Without spite His works of poetry Entertained and trained the mind His surgical skills cured the ailing bodies Where this fails he offers hope In that scope lives a man of honor He dies but lives on with us The name Lenrie shall for eternity remain One that will be remembered One that will be funly cherished One that will not be reviled Those he cured remain forever grateful Those who read his poems ever so entranced As he said he came home Like we all shall one day To answer to a call Glorified by his worth Living a vaccume of sorts Hail the man Lenrie Peters A collusus from a tiny country Who tells the greater world That we too can sprout worthy sons To fly our nations flag of honor Standing tall and proud To be counted as a peer Among the worthies of our times As he lies to rest We sing eulogies to his demise Hoping that we do justice to his past and fame The big tree never falls in silence The crash comes a bomb blast That wakens all to the passage of a great one Trampling smaller trees in it's wake The fall of this great man Left a mighty chasm in the field Yeah the void is so plain Who else takes his place! This surgeon who excelled This poet who wrote so well Can hardly get this easy replacement His shoes are not easily fitted into I hear he made his claims about religion That was a personal choice he made A choice each man has to make For his mighty contribution to mankind May his life be a treasure Meeting him was a pleasure Now I just cry for a lost treasure I know its gone forever And Know I am not alone in dispair So I extend my hand to all his peers To all who hold him dear Hoping that the tears will become dry As we all weep for a sad loss This was not a worthless soul He that came to help Did what he had to do Leaving as his time comes to an end That life was a lived to the full A compassionate fellow too Adieu then dear;Lenrie Peters Yours will not be easily forgotten here An epitaph in your honor Will surely sprout Decorated with garlands of golden florals To be reverred by generations yet to be born Who shall be told of your worthy past So glorified would be your name Forever and ever Amen
