FRENEMY Frenemy No friend of mine Frenemy No friend of mine See your friend What do they do?
When you give and give Dem tek from you! When your in need What do they do?
They turn around And fight against you! Frenemy No fren of mine.
Frenenemy No fren of mine. When your down Dem come around And they pretend Like dem did a care But dat's an illusion To bring bout confusion. They knock pon your door Laugh an drink wid you They gwone like hyenas Because they are schemers.
Frenemy No Fren of mine Frenemy No Fren of mine When your down And feeling blue They come an big-up dem selves Come tell you what fe do Telling you how fe live your life! Taking great comfort in your strife! What dem forget is dat de tables Will turn and when it does Your life will get better Dat's when Frenemy start Showing dere true colours With Jealousy, Jealousy Because dem Your enemy, enemy Beware of your Frenemy, Frenemy Beware of your FRENEMY! Every time I read this poem I smile. Itīs the bluntness of the message, the repetitive rhythmic pattern of the words, the tune I hear behind the words. Itīs just an awesome poem, itīs a song.
Sister that was a nice poem, was it written by you I wonder. It is so well presented and it speaks for me if `I may say so and I like it it so much. The writing style is for me so brilliant and the topic awesome. Thanks for sharing Sis; Lol.
Thanks Kiwi and Kaanibaa, I'm glad you liked this poem. I wrote in 2002 and have performed to live audience who would ask me to pull up or rewind and repeat it again. Kiwi I liked your suggestion about Frenemy being a song. I'm working out it if there are any good musicians out there who are interested in collaborating with me. Just send me a private e-mail.
