We shall cross you in time Wait then you must for that While we are tarrying on this ending journey Commenced on a good leg of hope How it ends is clouded in mystery You loom large in our visions None knowing or sure That the meeting would be well for him or for her All we have is hope and prayer
We did not come here together We shall not leave here together either In singles and at times more departures We set on the long journey Aiming for a smooth crossing Some stories tell of falls As some cross slipping on the thin line That span your length Throwing them into a pit of fire But cross we must when we reach your site
What aid do we need at this point Saith the prophets long gone pass Is our goodly deeds Lightening our weights Firming our walking gait To ease our passage over you Pray then we all must that we cross with ease To avoid that fiery fall Those laden with bad deeds Shall surely fall to doom
Sallow named Sirati Lies ahead of us all To cross us over to heaven Failing to reach the other bank Spells doom and hellish ends Which all wish to avoid Therefore on this journey of life Try all we can to gain more goodly gains To lighten our passage And gain welcome to paradise promised
I think that the mystery of hereafter remains known only to the Alpha and Omega -Him (Allah). As you wrote, we will live in fear and hope....though, we pray in serene that God will help us cross this narrow bridge (Sirat in Arabic.) I pray for that as well.

That was a reminder to myself as it seems to me that at times i lapse into idleness and forget that a future lies ahead which requires preparation and baggage to aid at that point in time. May we all be ready with our goodly baggages and not those which can pull us down to doom, ameen
