Thank you momodou. Sankofa is on. You see we have to love our leaders and we will not tell you what we have hiding. Hey, Billahi Wallahi, if you touch us, you know we are very very hot. Thanks for the avatar. Chief Buhaba is very pleased. |

Attention Momodou. Please allow and help me to use Che qu vara's avatar by nicking it from you. With compliments to your own; that's "dragon faced" or "Jambaarr", like that of Che qu vara. It appears to depict a lot who you are and I do concur with Bamba from your photo (if that's you?) |

Thanks Momodou and everlasting memories of this gesture. There is nothing like self-esteem, knowing who you are and can make a difference in peoples lives. Good luck to you and your family. |

A special thank you to Momodou and all at admin for bringing to us each day some faces that gave their life and remain in the shadows.
Written from detention: A year has gone by since I was rudely roused from my bed and clamped into detention. Sixty-five days in chains, weeks of starvation, months of mental torture and recently, the rides in a steaming, airless Black Maria to appear before a kangaroo court, dubbed a special military tribunal, where the proceedings leave no doubt that the judgement has been written in advance...The men who ordain nd supervise this show of shame, this tragic charade, are frightened by the word, the power of ideas, the power of the pen; by demands of social justice and the rights of man. Nor do they have a sense of history. They are so scared of the power of the word, that they do not read. And that is their funeral. KEN SARO-WIWA.
A poem from detention: Dance your anger and your joys, Dance the guns to silence, Dance, Dance, Dance..... Ken Saro-Wiwa

Some of them shall never die so long as they inspire us. |

Greetings Kobo, A difficult decision as to include Steve Biko (Frank Talk) or Ken Saro-Wiwa but I went on the assumption that more people would be aware of Biko then Ken. If you have not read the book 'I write what I like - Steve Biko I am sure you would appreciate it.
It is a collection of his columns entitled I write what I like published in the journal of the South Africa Student Organisation under the pseudonym of 'Frank Talk' It aslo contains other journal articles, interviews/court transcripts & letters written by Steve at the time.
When I despair, I remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it - always.. Freedom & peace / sab

Thanks Sab do appreciate some of your sources of knowlegde. I do cover few books but I don't like reading books. However I do know quite few legends and heroism. History count them on records. I have my own criteria to assess genuine leaders and those who are proactive towards upliftment of humanity. If you mention just certain names, I became awaken immediately as I do feel something in them. |
