hi there, i have just tried the two links for the point and daily observor. The point has news from last week nothing since the 14th, and the observor from sat. Is this correct, are the papers still printing. can anyone advise. If the papers are not printing gambia is in trouble. If they have not updated there webpage the diaspora is concerned. Any information. regards

Is it not a good idea you write to them through their e-mail addresses? |

Keywords search "Gammbia daily news" and click on "Gambia daily news" and have your updates including Bantana. |

Jambo, It seems you did not read the replies to the same question you asked last week in http://www.gambia.dk/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=645 and http://www.gambia.dk/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=649. I would suggest that you use the search function as suggested by others because you might find answers in one of the topics. I agree with Salimina's posting below.

Jambo, before initiating a topic why can`t you search for similar headings. If not the forum becomes clustered. For example:NEWPAPERS LATEST can be fit in NEWSPAPERS.And similarly travelling from spain to the gambia, just go to travel section you will find a topic on that as well. In this way the forum will not be clustered.
Just to make a point, thanks.

i would like an update on the newspapers, what is available to the average gambian on the streets. When I was there in feb you could buy two during the week and an extra one at the weekend. is this still the case |

At Westfield in Serrekunda there are paper sellers selling mainly the point and the daily observer. In March they were easily available. I do understand that the printing press can 'breakdown' from time to time when the president wishes to stall a story.
At senegambia you can buy old english papers at inflated prices! Who goes to Africa to read about home??? |
