You that walked so tall Atlethic and proud Patrolling the beat To weed out the rougues Wearing only a baton Feared no foe Yours was the honorable walk
You that marched the fields In parades of honor Carrying the flag With pride Saluting the colours Raised and flying high In the years gone by Need not bow in shame
You that now rule the roost Like that proud cockerel Crowing needlessly at sunset Heedless of the howling dogs The blunt knife is now sharpened To silence your boastful crow Know you not that many a cock Did in the pass make a similar call Take a stroll to the tip Therein lies their bones Testimonial to former life Needing no wait for fossil exams To show the passage in time
Heedless and callous lout Sowing hatred and callumny What hope then you have to reap Anything less that just recompence For the thing that you sent around Surely goes around Neatly set on a course Finding you on its part Without missing a beat Hitting you to smittering bits Then it would be too late to morn Oh moo, having lost your mouth With those shiny blistered lips

Shame on tyranny! Shame on roger!
It's a very inspiring poem; talking about two different leaderships. Leaders that work with their followers and the others silencing voices. Roger, as in the poem happens to be heedless, and the main reason for this poem.
