Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices.

I agree with that, it should be mine also, but wait a moment,I know, lets build a compound in Gambia and buy cigarettes at D10 a packet and Julbrew at D25 a bottle and live happily ever after

Seriously though should give up smoking

Oh, but i like your suggestion.......
T1020, you start building and i'll come in for the interior decoration (i am into that big time). Build a big veranda and i will put in big comfortable chairs, and we will make a pact: no smoking inside! How's that for a start ??

Seriously though, we will have to stop as you say. Do let me know how your attempts at giving up this filthy habit are coming along..

I prefer Jinnack island for compound 2bab is talking about. It is more resourcefull for more sophisticated smoking needs. Also can access beer from senegal instead of julbrew (worse beer ever)

Lucky I am not a smoker with "sophisticated needs" a packet of Royals will do nicely, used to smoke Plaza, but they are useless now ,never tried beer from Senagal so can't comment on that aspect.

No, not on Jinnak Island - i would like to have a sensible conversation with someone now and then. I am also not into smoking the things they grow there. Turk, i didn't think you would (or should) be an expert on alcoholic beverages.

Toubab, maybe we should stop smoking 'someday' in 2009, there are still 364,5 days to choose from. If HP can do it, so can we!
