He showed extreme charisma, sense of pride and confidence infront of friendly audience and adversaries. This has earned him quite a respect and admiration.

It is a sign of great leadership and it is not by accident. Read on and share your opinion.

....heh heh, oops!

Thanks a lot. Indeed a very nice writeup .

With Hilary on his team as secretary of state, you get the endorsement of even the most critical radio talk-host puff men...In all honesty, Obama's team is shaping good. This adds to your previous postings about Obama.

it is. however its also interesting to point out that most of his former opposing candidates in the primary election are in the team, Clinton, Biden,Richardson etc one journalist commented that there might be too much ''EGO''in the room since they all wanted the top job

bro Njucks,

It is a factual observation.

Also, as Hilary steps in, you don't doubt that the Bill Clinton influence will be with Obama's team as well. In all honesty, I love Hilary. She is a strong woman, only that during the primary season, I was frustrated with her exessive efforts to be president.

Now back at you: How do you think Bill , a former president can help the new team? Talk was that he is being considered for replacing her wife's senate position in NY. The other widely mentioned name is caroline Kennedy (daughter to JFK.)

personally i dont understand Obama's strategy. maybe he thinks by appointing Clinton in his team, he will not have to run against them again in 2012.

i think he should have just stuck to the change message and bring a new team to handle this new problem. The Clintons, etc would have been more useful behind the scenes. In any case i think she will overshadow him.

Njucks no Democratic candidate will run against Obama in 2012. He will be the Democratic incumbent for re-election; they will have to wait for 2016 I think ...

i think even incumbents still have to win nominations of their parties. its not by default that every president has to serve two-terms.

often the party nominates the same person to continue. Bush won the Republican nomination in 2004 in the primary election (even though it sounds like it never happened)

njucks,

actually bro Kay is right. unless the democratic president is impeached, mentally or physical not capable, or death.....then the fight for contender is on the GOP side only. More than likely, it is just party alk level, that the sitting president is automatically the rep for his party on a second term.

ok thanks. i agree but i just wanted to point out that we shouldnt take it for granted that a sitting president in the US does not have to earn the nomination of his party.

there is still a convention, and the nomination if unchallenged, is offered to the sitting president who accepts it.

both sides conduct primaries, its just more focused on the opposing side. after such a difficult primary, i think Obama doesnt want to go through 1/2 of it again. so appointing Clinton might be a good strategy after all as she cannot challenge a president she is serving under.

you can read more on wikipeadia.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Republican_Party_presidential_nomination,_2004

the question now is, what is Clinton's strategy by accepting the post?

Njucks, you are right. The incumbent president will still have to be nominated and accept the nomination in what is nevertheless called a primary. However, this is often just a plebiscitary and lacks all the steam and publicity of a regualr primary, since there is never any serious contender against the incumbent who almost aways gets the nomination. I do not think 2012 is the time for any serious contender in the like of Ms. Clinton, Mr. Richardson, or any Democratic party biggie to get into the ring. Even Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan and George H. Bush did weather these "washed up" primaries with the usual ease. Incumbents invariably do not get challenged in primaries. This is important for party unity.
