....who live in The Gambia.

I found this webside just by accident and I was amazed and the question came up in me, if this side is proper. Why, because 2
friends of me are involved and they never told me about this
foundation.
I may be too concerned or critical, but one of the numbers they
give is the one of my friend - so could it be, that some very
clever young men just created a webside in order to collect
money for themselves?
If someone in The Gambia could give me a help and check the
side and find out, if this is a fake or a real foundation,
I would be very thankful.
This is the side:

Good of you to start this investigation. Maybe something suspicious is going on. For one, there is no University of The Hague. Can't you ask your friends what this is all about?
Hope they are friends and not scams!

I might better not ask - not at this time, because I have already investigated lots of money and my distrust in the whole thing
(I gave nothing to this foundation, but to one of the members on the board) is daily increasing, but I wrote a mail to this professor in Hague )I found the email in the internet).

I do all this to find out, if I should trust or not...hope U understand? SOME, not all, Gambians are cheating and lying,
and its hard, when U find out, that u had been used.

I really hope that what is shown in the website is true.
Here is a chance for a bantaba member to have a scout around and see what are the facts. We all know that unfortunate things where "investments" and money are concerned do happen, not only in Gambia but worldwide.

u right, well 18-23 - i am pretty sure this is a crime, cause i know some of them and they all want to study uproad. but i like to be 100%
sure, before i judge.- still in some ways i understand, cause even with an edudation over the average level, they still hardly get jobs in the gambia.

Anna, how would you comment articel below published on US Embassy site, - "U.S. Citizen Diplomats meet with Anna Maria Andriol, Director Talent Development Program, The Hague University " ?
She is supposed to be a board member.

Hi Kiwi, the 'The Hague University' is not a university to Dutch standards. It only calls itself 'university' in brochures or means of information (such as their website) that are meant for students from abroad. When you visit their Dutch website, the school is called 'Haagse Hogeschool' - which is college level rather than university.
But it is true, the school the boys-presidium of 'Ndimbal' presents as one of the sponsors turns out to exist - i cannot but admit that after trying to find out where one could find this so-called University of The Hague i found out it is the name the Hogeschool uses for foreign students.
So, there is hope yet...........
Sorry DylanGer!

Thanks, Anna. Let´s hope ndimbalgambia just didn´t "copy and paste" the name with all "wrongs" to make it look serious.

Maybe its because it calls itself the 'Hague University' they have just followed suit. Certainly if you Google it it comes up as such.

Why not contact the Sukuta Lower Basic School?
I know Mr Sannah the head of the upper basic, I visited the lower basic a few years ago the lady in the picture is different from the head I met, but that's not to say shes not new in the job. If this is genuine as she is listed as treasurer she maybe able to enlighten you.

In the link Kiwi has posted the professor named on the site is in the photo and named from the the same 'university', maybe e mail the faculty there.

I think you can solve this mystery if one of the phone numbers listed belongs to your friend. Give him a call and confirm. You cant get a better reassurance than that.

I have been very weary these days. I was almost duped when a student published in the papers that needed help for education. I went to the Principal's office to confirm only to realise that that wasnt true. The student wanted me to give the money directly.

Another i had been helping turned out to be not a needy student but it was too late. I was giving the student cash directly. Thats why i decided to see the principal in the second case.

Any money you wish to pay should be paid directly to the school and use a cheque in the name of the school.

You might also want to contact the NGO Affairs Agency and the Registrar General's Office to confirm their legal status. They have to be registered with NGO Affairs Agency to have a certificate of incorporation with the Attorney General's Office. The Department of Education or Department of Youths and Sports should know them.

If they dont, then its a red flag.

NDIMBAL EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION
THanxs,
I have now called all the numbers, none of them excist - so
it must be a "red flag"!!
I have also sent emails to the department of youth and eduction, plus to the school from the treasurer, but i got no answers.

Its a shame, I try to find out how to stop them, cause I dont think this is OK what they do.
I also know now for sure, that my so called "friends" are just money surchers, who try it in lots of ways by the internet.

DylanGer, i am sorry to hear this. Are you sure? You must be very disappointed - what a great pity that such talented and intelligent young people cannot think of an honorable way to make money.

HP: yes you can, in the Netherlands.
