A U.K base charity GETS is changing the life's of many young people in different part of the country. i visited the charity's website recently, and i was amased at the extend of the charity's involvement in enhancing children education. they have also establish a modern Library in my own backyard Bakoteh. I thank them. all we can do is give them our small contributions. no amount is too little, remember ten pounds can buy some books and item for children. this is not about poverty but complimenting our own private efforts with a community wide base projects. visit the site at http://www.getsuk.org/projects/projects.htm

The Gift Aid scheme allows charities to reclaim basic tax on donations made to them, thus maximising their legacy income. By reclaiming rate tax, the donation is effectively increased by 28% so a gift of £100 is worth £128.00 to a charity. The scheme is flexible as it can apply to a one off donation or to regular donations. There is not much administration involved for a charity.
The Gift Aid scheme does not cost the taxpayer a thing and they will receive relief by including a claim in his/her tax return. There is no limit to the amount that a taxpayer may give in a tax year. |
