SO MY QUESTION IS THIS, WE CAN ALL DISCUSS THIS TO THE END OF THE YEAR, BUT WE HAVE TO JOIN SOME CAMPAIGNS. ANTI SLAVERY IS ONE, THE RELIGIOUS LEADERS SHOULD BE APPROACHED.
STOP THE SLAVERY NOW.
WE ON THE BANTABA ARE WELL EDUCATED ENOUGH NOT TO BE INVOLVED. FOR THE AFRICANS ON THE FORUM, THIS IS YOUR SISTERS/BROTHERS YOUR ROOTS THAT ARE BEING SOLD.
WHAT IS YOUR EXCUSE FOR ALLOWING IT TO HAPPEN     |

| I have entered a similar posting about what's happening in Mauritania many months ago. Few people seemed bothered. I wish you luck jambo. My contious is clear. I am not one of those who sit on their back and say 'oh! how sad' then continue with their daily lives because it does not affect them directly. I get up my backside and try and do something about it. If everyone did, things would change. |

here is my question, the ****ries where it is "acceptable" what is the majoirty religion/ tribe. Until that matter set is changed you can be fighting a hard battle.
Does anyone have any websites/blogs/campaigns that can be put on bantaba that can be followed. |

Oganisations: Anti Slavery international and Anti slavery soiciety. There are loads of things one can do e.g. writing to the country's embassy, writing to the press and encouraging boycotting of goods [one of my favourite tactic],writing to your local MP to bring the issue up in parliament, organise a demonstration in front of the embassy concerend [my favourite tactic]. If you cannot organise a demonstration, joint the anti-slavery movements - there are loads of them around. I do not believe in 'only give money and let someone else sort the mess out'. Giving money is grate but active participation is the key.
As regards to your question, the religion/tribe? There are different degrees of slavery [all bad as far as I am concerned] but the Arabs and their relatives [moors] are the worst. I am not only saying that because my hatred of them is legendary, it is a fact. Since the abolition of the Atlantic Slave trade, they are the worst. |

Sister Omega get it alright. Slavery is nothing but showoff of power over the weak ones that is how that starts .Are we all not a modern Slaves for our bankers and industries?.
System are changing but to the modern one.
SO WE CAN CRY AS LONG AS NO ON CANT HEAR IT ANYMORE BUT WILL STILL GO ON:
