More paperwork just to delay things, this is the way it works just develop more questions and then folks wil get fed up and go away or answer some questions incorrectly, sorry about that better luck next time!.Politians cannot give astraight answer or make decissions, the paper goes round and around!! |

Snuggels, it looks to me that since your friend is not denied outright but asked to fill additional paperwork, there is hope that he might be approved. But of course that might depend on what additional evidence he produce in the additional paperwork. You might want to check with your friend(s) and find out what questions or specific information the additional paperwork requires. It might have to do with some evidence or fact he failed to adequately provide in the original application. Visa application forms are generally standardized forms that seeks specified information, and the interview process is an attempt to verify such information. I have no doubt that the questionaires given to him will attempt to illicit such information. So he should try to answer them honestly, fully and tactfully in order to increase his chances of approval.

Snuggles - the additional information a friend of mine was asked to supply related to financial stuff - who/how he was going to be supported in the uk. In the end, even with that, that friend did not get a visa. Other friends have. Best of luck. |

Snuggles, An entry & exit record of the applicant if previous passport has been lost and applicant has no previous travel history on their currect passport. It is mandatory, yet come under additional. Then you proceed with visa application as normal.
Hopefully u will share with us the form (questionaire)number once you know. Unless the questionaire is specific to the applicant.

Snuggles, I believe visitor visa rules changed earlier this year granting only a three month visa to UK instead of six month.
I have not checked it out, but it was about to come into force - you might be looking at the wrong flexi ticket!!
Had a quick look - [b]http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7146527.stm b] then found another document that states Home Office abandon this proposed rule at the end of June 2008.
