For years the native African Mauritanians who refused to migrated from their forefathers' land had been tortured and some enslaved by the Moors. Not a single neigbouring African country e.g. Gambia, Senegal, etc had stepped forward to defend the rights of our cousins. To make matters worst, I hear that the Gambian Government is engaging with the Mauritanian Government on economic grounds instead of sending an army to destroy the facist Moors. Mass murders, enslavement and torture are the norm in that ghastly country. Yet again we all watch in horror instead of intervening. The only time if my memory serves me right, when the Gambians and Senegalese joined forces against these babarrians was the desaster of 1989. In that year, the Moors with the support of the Morocans, massacred several Senegalese people and stole their businesses. The Gambian and Senegalese people came together as a single unit and avenge those those Senegalese. In that year, tribe was not an issue, wolof, mandinka, fulas etc all came together to put these Moors in their place. Since then, no more effort has been made to help the native Mauritanians. Why?

Brilliant articles Momodou. They both demonstrates the 'basterism' of the Moors and their Arab supporters. It is a duty of every native African - regardless of tribe or nationality to defend the rights and dignity of our black cousins in Mauritania. Just as the Arab world had assisted their cousins in Mauritania, he owe it to our cousins to stand up and be counted. For years their voices has been unheard - gagged by those decendants of Satan, and the African leaders [not all I must add]who had folded their hands and watched. As a human race we must defend the rights of the weak and vulnerable, but most importantly as Africans we owe it to our cousins. This rebellion against such babarrism must be led by Africans and anyone else who is sympathetic to the course can join us. Everyone has a part to play in this, bringing it to the forefront of the political agenda, legal demonstrations, boycoting Mauritanian goods [if there is any], etc. I know I have been doing my part and had been doing so for years, but I cannot do it alone. This babarrism is happening in our door step. If you fold your arms and say it doesn't affect me, then I refer you to two historical events: The Atlantic Slave trade and the Haulocause. 'once the Nazis finished with the Jews, they moved on to the disabled, gays, etc'. In the Atlantic Slave Trade, we can be foregiven for saying we were not there, if we were there, it would never had happened. However, we are here now and it is happening right under our noses and to our people. Our decendants will judge us in centuries to come as we judged our ancestors. So what are you going to do about it? |

Thanks Momodou for the links. Those papers are educative. Tamsier, while I commend you for bringing up concern about the deplorable condition of Blacks in Mauritania and Sudan, I disagree with the solutions you have given. We must not take international law into our own hands, and in the process lose our goal in the emotions of the moment. This matter, admittedly a grave matter, could and perhaps should be taken up by the ECOWAS, AU, UN, and other internationally recognized and appropriate bodies to end the tyranny in both Sudan and Mauritania. That in my view is the way to go, not a so-called "rebellion". May be I am too nice... |

| Kay, 'rebellion' in the general sense of the word does not only mean taking arms. I even pointed out 'legal' demonstrations when I stated the possible solutions to deal with the Moors/Berbers/Arabs whatever they want to call themselves. You mention ECOWAS, AU and The UN etc, these savages has been doing their deeds for years, long before the formation of these organisations and long after, what have they done to solve it? NOTHING. The United Nations is the biggest joke of them all. It is controlled by The USA Government, and do you think The USA Government wants to offend the Arab nations? You are an intelligent guy so I will let you answer that for yourself. Besides, these Arabs dont know peace, they dont value life and for them thievery and murder of the aboriginal Mauritanians is nothing to them. They dont respect democratic/peaceful dialog. Even Momodou's URL articles demonstrates that better than I could ever have. How many times within the past few decades have they said they had abolish slavery but found out to be lying? Even though I dont advice ordinary civilians taking arms to deal with these people, I think the Senegambian army should invade these decendants of Satan. If they call their Arab cousins to come down and defend them, then it should be an Arican affair - the rest of the African nations should rally together e.g. ECOWAS [if they even care]. The only way to defeat these children of darkness is by the use of the sword. The sword is what they know, it is what they have always known since they migrated from the North. If they are not willing to change their treacherous habits, then they must die by the sword. Judging by their history they dont want to change, therefore, they should be sent packing back North or sent to the grave by an African coalition army. In your posting you stated - may be you are too nice, yes you are. These people dont do nice, it is not in their blood. Hatred, herecy, and savagery is what is imbedded in their mothers' milk. We must return the favour in the same manner. Before anyone start preaching to me revenge/hatred is not the answer, or that maxim - 'two wrongs dont make it right', sometimes it is and in this cases, it may be the only answer. Once they finish with the natives Mauritanians they will move on to us. So if you want to be nice, go ahead, be guest. Once they come for you it would be too late to response. |
