Just came home from a concert with Juldeh Camara & Justin Adams, Juldeh on whining riti and song, Justin on very electric guitar, and also Salah Dawson Miller on percussion. Actually all of them were quite ”electric” and just irresistible. Are you in Copenhagen, go and listen to them tomorrow!

Juldeh Camara in Copenhagen 2008

Kiwi,
I saw the trio perform last night here in Copenhagen. Juldeh is a multi talented musician who does not only play ritti (one-string fiddle) now but also tama and ngoni (West African banjo). The trio Juldeh, Justin and Salah are great musicians and no doubt they won the BBC Radio 2007 World Music Awards Cross Culture Category.

I bought a copy of their CD “Soul Science” and can recommend it as the album of the year. It can also be bought online.

Read more about Juldeh on the following sites:

The Juldeh Camara trio were on Sky - The Africa Channel two weeks ago, keep an eye out for the repeat if you have Sky.
Juldeh gave interview & music from their forthcoming tour - excellent.

It´s good to see they are busy touring during May, June and July from Mexico and Morocco to UK. Take the chance.
