According to the senegalese webportal, The Gambia beats Senegal at the Human Developement Index published by the UNDP. Out of 177 countries, The Gambia and Senegal are ranked 155 and 156 respectively. The greater mover is Icleand that has replaced Norway at the top spot. Amongst the criteria used is life expectancy, literacy and revenue. If this is true then all hope is not lost back home.
