DOSA Staff Complain

The staff of the Department of State for Agriculture have complained to this reporter about the difficulties they go through due to late payment of salaries.
According to the staff who spoke to this reporter in Yundum, Abuko and Bakau, since the passing into law of the Act establishing the National Agricultural Development Agency (NADA), they have been encountering numerous difficulties in receiving their salaries on time.
According to them, they received their salaries always after the 15th day of the following month. This they said makes them vulnerable to those whom they owe financial obligations. They concluded by calling on the Department to assist them to access their salaries on time. Attempts to talk to the permanent secretary, yesterday afternoon, were unsuccessful. Foroyaa will publish their views once we get them.
