March 6th is world book day. www.worldbookday.com Whilst researching this for school I came across www.bookaid.org which is interesting.

From this I came across www.africanbookscollective.com

I am hoping to order a few books for school from this site. I will report back on how it goes. Have other people ordered from here before?

He/she, sister/brother..is not so important in Gambian languages?
It is a mistake my guide often makes in writing, refering to his mum or wife as HE.

But then again I cant write ANY Mandinka!!! So who am I to criticise?!

Anna, I think the fantastic thing about the internet is sharing ideas and finding websites etc...You can learn something new every day.

This year I am hoping to have a holiday in Cuba and I am using the internet to try and research it. Whilst I get myself settled in my new home I am taking a year off from visiting Gambia. I just need a HOLIDAY. Might even go to Spain!
