Am of the opiniun that "Born again Gambians" (I don't mean religious sense but political) could help us refresh ourselves to chart a new course with more progress, peace and stability. Born again in the sense that we forgive and forget the past as history (ending now)and focus on the present. Where can we start and what can we do? What went wrong in the past-system and how to improve them? What are our political priorities and how could they be sorted out? How to eliminate all forms of discrimination especially tribalism? How can we support our leaders with sound ideas and convince them to listen to us? How to eliminate opportunism and make the government work professionally? How to avoid civil servants participating and dominating politics? There are other issues, your ideas are welcome.

| Are you ready to forgiveand forget or forgive and not forget? You have to tell us where you stand. |

| Attempted to test where freshness can start and free our minds of prejudices and hatred for democracy and progress to make headway in the Gambia and outpaced our current situation and crises. However there is a chronic wound being suffered through my heart and have not got any treatment so far. Do you have agood heart therapist that I can see? |

| Sonkofa I have been referred to disclose my desease to you by a brother and colleague Professor Kons. I am suppose to forgive and forget the past; it happened(PAST) that I love Jammeh in style but power corrupts and there are blood in his hands which needs cleansing of staints and dirts. Any cure and future antidotes to take for my desease please, as am dying with a serious chronic heart wound. |

Well well, good you have come to your senses. Yaya is very magical. I would recommend you go to kanilai and attend Futampaf and drink the kanilai magic water. However, you will need to go to Mataba to do some training and finally visist field marshal baba at the five star hotel.
Wait a minute; did i ask how fast you could dig a hole? Dig a hole lie in it for 40 days and let someone tie your legs and hands; make it long enough before commander mosquito chops off your legs; place enough plastic bags in the hole which will be used to cover your head and test how long you can stay without oxygen. Have a cell phone by your side and call me. My number is SOS and that of MALAIKA MAWTI is RUN and leave the rest to me. BUHABA WILL BE THERE WITH THE GREEN BOYS AND THE INITIATION WILL START. My hope is you will not be able to forgive because there will have been an announcement that you are on the run possibly in Cassamance and still a wanted man even though you and i know at least in spirit world that we have since departed.
CAN YOU FORGIVE?

Kons. don't be surprised when you wake up to hear that my head has been chopped off and have undergone heart therapy according to prescriptions of Sonkofa that I need to be not only initiated through the Kanilai rituals as my blood and tongue is important for the spirits. I may be in hell also, who knows who to trust these days? |

You are right. Sankofa is still not fully reformed and no one seems to trust the other. Just like Chinua Achebe said "Things Fall Apart. The center cannot hold" is what we are witnessing at home. In fact there are very civilized forms of begging on an unprecedented scale. It is no longer the ALMUDOS now.
The pride of the Gambian has since disappeared. We were never used to begging. It is almost like a successful bank. When business is good you open another branch. It looks like every one has now become successful ALMUDO and hope has since disappeared. I called home today and was told that water is even a problem these days. The taps are closed by NAWEC for hours and people have to store water in buckets for the long wait.
I hope we are not seeing the beginning of the end of Junkung. The last days of Jawara also started like this. Water shortages up to the point where people were being charged 50 butut per container of water. It started in Brikama followed by the demonstrations and eventual fall of the PPP.
Water is a sensitive issue in our culture. It is not to be sold and should be given when needed. I hope NAWEC can at least ensure that people have water. We do not need millions of dollars spent of villas when we cannot provide water to drink. As for electricity, just don’t think about it.

Konds, this water problem has been the order of the day for a long time now. Imagine where we cannot maintain the little we have, and yaya is contemplating exercabating the problem by spreading it to the provences.
First the energy supply that is already established should be properly maintained and sustained before spreading the growth els where. We should be professional in our development process otherwise everything will fall apart in our hands.
Jammeh does not listen, this is our major upheaval. |
