It's good to see that the Draft Programme for Roots Festival 2006 was incorporated in Roots 2008. However it is unfortunate that the originators of the Programmes ideas was not acknowledged. It took 5 years for the Root Committee to change the date.With better consultation they would of checked out the Whitson bank Holday was from May 26th-31st May. Let's hope that the turnout to Roots this year is more numerous than 2006 which was unfortunately a flop and that the credit crunch hasn't dampened down the turn out. One good thing is that Upcountry will get some much needed foreign exchange as was Roots 2006 Committees intention. Anyway as my Grandfather used to say better lare than never.
