I am so sad about Kenya. I dont understand all the politics. But it is sad to hear about tribalism resurfacing and causing so many meaningless deaths.
Gambia is a good example to the rest of Africa. Lay down tribal issues and be one. That is the way for your country to progress. |

Kenya has plenty of wild animals and various nature, mountains and beautiful beaches...they get lots of money from the tourist industry because of that. Donīt know if they have any cold or other minerals, but lots of land for agriculteral purpose...exporting coffe, tea, different fruits. They have better infra structure than Gambia, more schools...but it has always been dangerous there. allready 20 years ago one could not go out at night like one does in Gambia still today. The gap between rich and poor is huge in Kenya. Gambia is one of the kind and letīs all pray it will not be destroyed for any reason.

inez is right, kenya is not safe, i can walk out of gambia airport and get into a taxi and the most that happens some person tries to "help", kenya airport, they have guns and you are escorted out of the airport. even when the drop you off, only passengers allowed in the building, YUMDUM is sounding good. the rich are RICH and the poor ARE POOR, they are ahead in media communications and have rich traditions, but economically it is a wide gap for all the riches they have, tourism is well developed and the expat community have lived there since for decades. this will take years to return to normal, it has been bubbling over for a while. and why because african elections are a farce . it is a beautiful country and has been seen as stable and a place to do business in, watch them loose that value. |

Kenya's issue is seen as a tribal one which unfortunately covers the underlying truth which everyone needs to know. it shows the reality about how african dictators impose themselves and their wills on people willy nilly, and some Western governments as evil as those very african dictators, will side with them simply because they(the african dictators) serve their(West's) purposes. Britain is fighting Mugabe left centre and right because they say he is a dictator, but here they are negotiating for that ugly Kibaki of a thing so that he can form a government of national unity. is this Britain and America not the so-called champions of democracy? are they not the ones who invaded iraq because the leader was a dictator? are they not the ones leading sanctions against Zimbabwe killing millions of children because Mugabe is a dictator? what is the difference between Kibaki and Mugabe. everyone knows Kibaki lost the elections but because he let america to set up her military base in Kenya, they are negotiating for him to stay in power. i think the whole world should be asking Kibaki to go rather than talking about ethic cleansing. if a situation like this exists in Zimbabwe, no one will talk about the ethic thing, but they will be talking about Mugabe's killer army. i am not vindicating Mugabe but i am trying to show how unfair africans are treated by the rest of the world. i think Kenyans should keep up the fight. i swear, if they win, it will be a lesson to all other monkey dictators that gone are the days that they can rig elections in broad day light. |
