By the kind gesture of our benevolent all providing president it is said that food in Kanilai is free. We know that price of rice per bag is cheapest in Kanilai compared to elsewhere in the country. With number of people associated with Kanilai having experienced quick death recently, is the free food in Kanilai free from poison? Can anyone confirm if all those who suffered the mystery death were eating food of any type at the free kitchen?

There is no free lunch. If only one could look deeper, there is a price to everything. But what goes around comes around.

Kondorong,

Yes, "there is no such thing like free luch." I totally agree. What goes around certainly comes around. Life is full of surprises. If it turns out that these men of energy and guts died as way of destroying evidence about something they have been linked, that is another surprise too. Don't you think so? In every process where truth and false unite, the reality finally manifests when contradictions heighten to their full limit. Usually, humans are in a hurry especially under excess suppression. But like you have it under your foot note, the truth eventually triumphs.

advise me well. I will be a visitor in that area soon. I want to know where to eat and where not to eat, if at all the food is poisonous. Or i am too little to frigg anyone there or to be given poison..

Brother Dalton1

If you ever eat, not at Kanilai! The reason is that anyone visiting Kanilai these days will be scrutinized for some purpose. Surely, the Kanilai concoction and all that is there to consume falls under the forbidden foods. So be doubly careful.

Bro Karamba,

but i am a first citizen of the area. I will enter the thick bushes to consult the famous 'meeteis/jalangs.' You laugh! I will enter the village at noon, and will go straight demanding to see Yaya Jammeh. I will greet him in jola, 'kaa suu mai?'

Wasn't there some Jammeh 'safara' that was been sold there then?

Those that are taking threatment with the magic bottles should hold for now until further notice.

thanks though,
Dalton.

Pam,

it's a lot of needy students there.

as well, there are some disables that obviously need more public or individual help, among the many others....

The foot note is actually Ghandi's words. I need to edit it to indicate the source. I should give credit to Ghandi.

Kondorong,

Though from Ghandi Gi I like to associate the quote with your good self here in Bantaba. I like the quote so much, if there is no big stuff to digest, I simply turn to your posts and read bit for a good digest. Thank you for bringing in this very meaningful highly charged message. Belated Tobaski greetings and Happy New Year to you.

Happy belated Eid and a prosperous new year. I am looking forward to the landings in Yoro bawol as you once predicted in 2008.

But if the holiday rumour is right then, that landing may never be. But as Colin Powel said "..optimism is a force multiplier....". We hope that dreams will materialise.

Kondorong - please may I bring to your attention your quote by Mahatma Gandhi - you post it incomplete, omitting the last line.

A favoured meditation of mine that I have previously used here on bantaba. Hope you take no offence when I use it in the future on appropriate postings relevant to The Gambia - and pray there wait is not too long!

When I despair,
I remember that all through history
the ways of truth and love have always won.
There have been tryants, and murderers, and
for a time they can seem invincible,
but in the end they always fall.
Think of it - always.
Mahatma Gandhi - Early 20th Century

The world would be a poorer place if it was peopled by children whose parents risked nothing in the cause of social justice, for fear of personal loss. (Joe Slovo - African revolutionary)

Sab,

Sure this quote is yours here. We will have to charge the mighty Kondorong on this one. (humor!) But glad to see your lines. Your other one, Mandella is aging now.

Regards,
Dalton.
