Can anyone explain why M C Cham has been arrested. Is it purely paranoia on behalf of Yayha.....or is there some other reason?.. This man is now very old and sutrely not a threat to the country

They have also arrested Raif Diab who is also an older gentleman. I remember the last arrests. No explanations were ever given about those. I doubt any explanations will be given about these either. These people will not be treated as innocent until proven guilty that is for sure! The last time, the conditions they were held in were totally disgusting and unacceptable. No charges were brought. It was a case of getting certain people out of the way. I feel a sense of De Ja Vu. |

allelu yah. Praise the lord.
I am not sure if Gambians are "brave" enough for all the "attempted" coups. Only history will tell. May be we will need a Truth Commission after Yaya. |

"KEBA FALA KUMA YEH SIMAYA DUWA". The world is such a small place that history reapeats itself with some difference. He was the mbarodi of PPP and to witness this is a lesson for all to learn from both the oppressed and oppressors and the spectators.
Hey yaya is right. he has power now and we have to like him. |

Who told you about freedom. On our resume, green boys can bury you six feet deep with no problem, fire on unarmed demonstrations while drinking ataya, and take you to our five star hotel (mile 2 prison) in twinle of an eye ask baba Jobe,We green boys are both judges and jurors and convict you at the time of arrest because you are guilty until proven guilty. We dont arrest innicent ones . all those arrested are guilty and therfore are not innocent. We are the law and if you think you sabi book, come home we will make you a minister under emperor Junkung butone thing your soul and mind will be given to the emperor |

Sankofa, You are funny.I for one go to the Gambia as I like and am not afraid of arrests for I have been arrested many many times.I know I cannot let my fellow good Gambians down.I am never and will never be afraid of you the green boys for I now know many of you.I think you are cowards because you never alow yourselves to be known publicly.I defy Your Emperor openly when he goes wrong and shall continue to do so till he is seen the right road to freedom of speach. Its just that am studying but let me inform you,I shall be in the Gambia in three weeks with my two kids for two weeks and if you or your co-muderers are brave enough, come for me.Then I will not come back for I know what I will do.I only accept to be arrested by police with a warrant not foolish boys because Yaya is president.I don't give a dam.The rule of law must prevail over all your efforts I assure you. You people are not brave as you hide behind darkness to operate(Laughs) |

Greetings, I don’t believe for one moment that Sankofa is able to comprehend the meaning of a free society. That is way above the head of evil. But remember, history has shown us that young people are capable, when aroused, of bringing down the towers of oppression and raising the banners of freedom.
When I despair, I remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it - always.. Freedom & peace

Yes young people did it in 1994. They brought freedom to gambia and development. Look at the Arch 22 the best in the whole world and bringing revenue. i have not travelled but yaya said it was is the best. They only envy us and i believe in my leader. he is right and speaks the truth.

The Arch 22/Yes it is good but what revenue does it bring and to who? You see sankofa I think you have made a good choise to join Bantaba for you will learn a lot.I have met one of your types in Barmingham, the moment he saw me,he wanted to run by taking a suddent excuse from the friend that he had to meet someone.I know he didn't want us to stay in the same house least his friend comming to know what he was doing in the Gambia. But I told his friend who I went to visit to ask him to stay so that we can discuss. The friend didn't know what had happened but when I told him,He was so furious but after the discussion,we all have seen what the light is.I normally don't hold grudges against people for I believe that if you have given your self to serve people, you must be ready to face hardship. This gentleman was infact taken to pilgrimage by Jammeh for he was very loyal to him. When I ask him why he said he is not going back,he replied that he is scared if Jammeh looses election or suddently dies, what would happen to him?I ask him to repent and ask all those he has harmed their forgiveness then he shall be saved. This is it.Life is full of individual history.Think of your own not Jammeh. He has enough. |

Jayanfara, seriously, i think Sankofa is just here to wind people up. I honestly thinks he reads all the replies and laughs to himself. He really is in his own little GREEN BUBBLE! The Arch 22? A big Joke!. Only he the bloated ba****d drives through it! (ok that was a bit much) 24hr electricity?! come on, ,.. who you kidding? I was in gambia couple of months ago. my area had electricity 4-6hrs a day and thats if we were lucky. Some people would actually bribe the NAWEC workers just to get a few more hours of electricity.
And sankofa, u mentioned Yaya teaching at the "uni"? Are you serious? Thats so funny. I'm not sure what he would have to say in any subject. This man is a JOKE
