The first war was countries that are imperialist vs. non-imperialist countries. The countries like UK, Fra, Russia was sucking all the world resources while Germany, Austria, Turkey did not have that opportunity. The second was still based on that. Germany & Japan wanted to be imperialist as well. Than ideologic war come with the Cold war. Famous theory of clash of civilizations seem like virtual conflict. The real one is coming soon. The war between poor vs. rich. The south vs. north.
Here is the first round.

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices. |

True dalton. The division of rich vs. poor are getting even worse. This year number indicates rich getting richer and poor getting poorer. Let us see.
WORLD GDP : 48,245 (100 %)
EU : 14,609 USA : 13,194 Japan : 4,366 Australia : 755 Canada : 1,275 Swiss 387
Total : 34,586 (72 %)
The above countries while they have 15ish percent of the world population, they got 72 % of wealth. That means rest of the countries in the world have 28 %. Rest of the countries includes all south america, all central america and caribbean, all africa, all middleeast, russia, all asia except japan, pretty much 85 % of the world population.
But now, west want third world to pay the cost of environment. This is the biggest robbery of all times. They are already paying the price for 'globalization' west pushing.

There are many factors you would think. First of all, I will not live in Gambia or Turkey. Because I have a family to feed, currently my job requires me to stay in Australia. My family is more important than everything else. I need to provide them good living and secure my daughter future. If my daughter wants to study in Yale, Oxford or any university, finance should not be an issue.
Before I have family I volunteered but now I have less time for these activities. But here what I can do or anyone else can do;
- Advocacy about the situation. Western countries imperialism is wrong. I actively bring this issue to forum and convince people, for example you, so that there are more people to put presure on western politicians to stop imperialistic politics. So I do something political as I am doing in the forum.
- I believe to improve yourself and your family. If I have better financially and intellecutality I have more power to change about the world.
- Help your family and community. I am very active financially help my gambian family and turkish family. Support a few to pursue their education.
You are right. Everyone can make difference. |

turk, good posting, but I ask this "Advocacy about the situation. Western countries imperialism is wrong.", you want to convince me, please don't even try, why I have travelled to many countries who are still going on about imperialism, but they are doing that because of what they have left behind, "its all imperlism this and imperliasm that, that is a smoke screen and people need to get over it, before they can moved forward. I have done advocacy and re thought certain things, I am about education, what are you about. Look at your choice of unversities and ask yourself if you believe in what your are doing, then you would not pay the "imperialistic price for those places of study, yes it is for your family", but why those two choices. Whats wrong with turkey and Gambia, people are not supportive, if you used your advocacy for Gambia it would make such a difference, I hope you are giving it back to your homeland. Leave the imperlists alone they are not going anywhere |
