Jammeh’s infertility cure taboos

www.gainako.com

The following invalidates Jammeh’s infertility cure:

Rule 1: No more than two hands touching the bottle contents. That means only the giver (MMB) and the taker (recipient) can touch the bottle, otherwise it is invalidated.

Rule 2: You cannot throw the bottle in the vicinity after use. You have to throw it inside the river.

Rule 3: You cannot eat “Ebbeh”. The main components of Ebbeh are palm oil, cassava, fish and et cetera. It is a nice home-made food.

Rule 4: You cannot eat eggs. I though eggs contains a lot of proteins which the body needs.

It is becoming strict in rules and truly makes one suspicious of some cooked-tales. Is it some mind intelligent game or just that Jammeh have things to hide from the contents of the bottle? Or for a simple fact, he is not comfortable with his medicine being tested in a lab? Or is that he finally received some revelations, God knows where from? Or is it that the man is faking things at this magnitude? Where are we heading to? If you have an answer, that’s what I am waiting for.

Dalton, good morning. This man is playing upon the old superstitious, animist belief systems of the poorer, less educated majority. If there is no contact with the fluid inside the bottle, then it cannot be bacteriologically infected, no matter how many hands touch the outside.
The area in which it is disposed? - for Pete's sake. a total irrelevance. Ebbeh is indeed tasty fare. I do not think it is going disturb your plumbing, else half of west africa would be childless - oh yes, and my wife too!
Finally, eggs contain proteins - correct. so does meat, nuts, fish, cheese and almost all foods. let us ban eating altogether and then child bearing will be an inconsequence.

Look - this is all complete rubbish - unsubstantiated, mythical, unscientific hogwash. there is no basis in fact, either evidentially or curatively.
he is like the old wild west travelling salesman who used to sell "elixirs" off the back of wagons and then scarper before thier inefficacy was discovered.
How on earth, in this day and age, do people still buy these "elixirs" from dodgy salesmen?
answer 1) because they are simple and uneducated
2) because they are desperate for help and cannot afford proper treatment
3) because there is no availability of proper treatement due to poor funding of the Gambian health system 4) because he is their president and therefore must be telling the truth.
imagine Sarkozy trying to flog an infertility cure and telling the French they cannot eat garlic or drink wine or ride bicycles along the banks of the river Seine and that the Eiffel Tower is JUJU and needs to be demolished? He would be in a straight jacket in 5 minutes flat.
EMPEROR AND HIS NEW CLOTHES..
But where in Gambia is the little boy who is unafraid to describe the truth in this real-life version of the parable?
One wonders what he will come up with next. It is so pathetic you could almost laugh - except that he is playing with his people's minds, and hearts and welfares. as i have said before , it is shameful , disgusting, abhorrent and downright criminal.
One can only hope that he is put out to pasture sooner than later - for the sake of the sanity of the people of the Gambia.

That said, I personally think that Yaya succeeded in knowing our weaknesses and strengths, and therefore will do everything to take advantage of that traditional belief system to poison the minds of fetishes. If Jammeh was that much a mythical doctor, how come his wife was sent to deliver in Washington Metropolitan hospitals at an estimated cost of $100,000.00? (Courtesy of All Africa.) I tried to find out what is in eggs, ebbeh or the exterior of that bottle that would invalidate Jammeh’s cure for infertility, but to my no-surprise, I am yet to see something believable.

I will share with you a funny story.

It was this insane fellow in the village. It was 'santafeleh' moon-sighting. When everyone was looking, the potty head had by accident pointed to the direction of the new crescent and then uttered “there is the moon!”

And everyone goes, “Oh! Tonydaba is now healed.”

Within seconds’ later, he [Tonydaba] started pointing to pet dog resting underneath the “bantaba” [seating places for elders] and uttered repeatedly “there is another!”

And the elders looked at each other and said “hmmmmmm! Tonydaba haven’t recovered an inch.”

Have a good Friday.
Regards,
Dalton

I have just returned from Gambia. When in Banjul I witnessed the heart breaking sight of women in their very best clothes lining the streets queueing for the presidents treatment. It is heart breaking to think they are being given false hope.

But on the otherhand POSSIBLY this drink contains herbs etc that may help. Most medicines come from nature, so who is to say? In England for childbirth women used to drink raspberry leaf tea, not so very long ago.

It is easy to mock, but perhaps there is an element of truth to these things. Also the mind is a powerful thing... if people believe in it perhaps it will work?

There were HUNDREDS of women lining the street.....

I hope they all find away to have a child successfully, whether it is a traditional way or a medical way.

Hmmmm... My snake oil merchant is a very tricky hawker. He isn't as moronic as he appears to the educated. Maybe, just maybe, this is a grand ploy to plea insanity, come D-day!
