Is this guy, I think he was a doctor, defending president's HIV cure miracles on BBC?

Here is the conversation between them.

Minister: President, your HIV healing is great, but do you think we can have some prevention measures?

Pres: Are you questioning my healing?

Minister: No president, no......

Pres: Prevent my .... You are fired.

diaspora! Too many Chiefs and Very Few Indians.

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices.

I think what the observer story is missing is that this Mr. Njie was one time the first health minister immediately after the the coup in 1994. He served less than 24 hours in the cabinet. He still holds the record as the shortest live cabinet member. His nick name is PACHAKH.

I may be wrong. He was an army medic. That is true. Observer should not sugar-coat his biography.

Turks,

Haaaaaa haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa hai....

You have turn my mouth apart my brother.I can't stop laughing

Haaaaaaaaaaa haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa hai...

Oh my God,

It seems you were just hiding behind the mahogany table when he vomited those words. I can assure you they really fit.Considering what he told the director of Radio and Television services....."If I hear such broadcasts again, I will fire you and sent you to jail"

Gambians should all unite to get rid of this man before it is too late.

I can't understand why people accept his posts only to be used and fired.

I must tell you this ask any army,

There used to be a slogan in the army I don't know if this still exist?

It is called: "DISMISS AND DISGRACE"

I belief this has been Jammeh's moto ever since.

If this said story was anything to goby, then Tamsir Mbowe is not fit even to be allowed to practice medicine in our dear motherland. How can some one out of self selfishness allow such a thing to happen even if the said bisinessman was one's own father?Expacially when bestored with trust to care for our state health? Our lives much more a man with Mbowe' ethics?

I wonder why the state has not filed a case against him for trying to use his office to poison citizens of the Gambia.A country he was employed to serve with sincerity and honesty.

This man if the alledgations were true, then I wouldn't now be surprised about his constant lies to the public concerning Jammeh's AIDS cure.

Some Gambian intellectuals are truely disgraces to their families and country
.Shame on you Mbowe! I wish I was president!

I find it unfair to criticise Mbowe, especially on AIDS cure.Yes he is dismissed, but does that take away Jammeh's claims of his abilities. In the first place why was he fired.I dont condone,President's behaviour of just hiring and firing.I dont think press should be celebrating this. The dictator is at work, wether Mbowe defended Jammeh or not, people are the victims. So has the president suddenly discoverd his magical powers are non existant, then he fires Mbowe for misleading him.If possible, lets judge Mbowe on his department's policies. Was the health of the Gambians transformed for the better?.If that was the reason for his dismissal, then we can say he deserved it,but to bring down a tonne of bricks on him for Jammeh's claims is unfair.

Good reasoning there Che.

It is all to do with the beast of a man; Yahya Jammeh. This man is so ruthless. He is unreasonable and does not recognise or respect limitations in all that relates to him. Mbowe, like many others remain fatal victims to this senseless state of affairs. They have been induced by the claims that serving APRC counts as serving the nation of Gambia. That is not the truth matters in any way. Now it is late for some people who thought all was right. One after the other, they fall harder until the game is over. Tell you what, it is a game of fatal losses for everyone. No winner in this game; yes, no winner. All is lost to evil destruction. Gambians are indulged in deep sleep and will rise to face the music of that occasion.

Che

The problem is tha as a Medical Doctor, there are certain ethical standards that one subscribes to just like Nurses and Lawyers. A Doctor is a position of trust and integrity and once that is conpromised, then you have nothing left. Knowing that there is no cure and then stand up and say there is, is a disgrace to his profession and his integrity.

It might not be a problem in the Gambia to dilute standards, but it certainly is a problem to all descent practising medical doctors around the world.

He had a choice to quit his job just like the senior officers of the National Aids Secretariat who are not even Doctors but who are embarassed by the tons of phone calls they receieve from arpund the world including many inetrantioanl agencies they deal with.

Its a a matter of principle. He had a choice to not take the job and still be able to practice in the country and survive. He is not a desperate man.

Dr. Mbow should be strip off of his medical license if he infact has any relevant one. With all the disgraceful and surprises we have learned since Jammeh came to power, Dr. Mbow's is the biggest and most destructive endorsement of Jammeh's treatment.

The scientific community in the world especially the UN should make sure that this is the last man to take such a stand against a global effort to address a global epidemic. For the man to stand up and say the "I am western medical train doctor and this HIV/AIDS cure works" amounts to a death sentence. The man should not be associated with Modern medical treatment ever again.

He should be classified as a mad scientist fighting to help a President who does not know left from right. This is not only disgraceful but unacceptable.

Mbow is insane..

I am a medical doctor.I wont bless Mbowe's sentiments. But the question that stands, would Mbowe's refusal of the job or to endorse Jammeh's assertions have helped curtail the destructive magical powers claimed by his excellency.Whose voice vibrates most through the Gambia today?.Yes,Dbaldeh, disgraceful and unacceptable, but is it not an indicating of greater problems within our esteemed cabinet.Let the press give the disgraced SOS an interview. We need his views on this issue. Will the incoming SOS demonstrate a different approach?By grace he is also a doctor,i hope the question will be answered.Just here in South Africa, the so called intellectual,Thabo Mbeki, was involved in a fierce debate concerning HIV/AIDS.He still stands by his views today, that AIDS is not caused by HIV.Thanks to his advisers,he was privately told to cool it,for SA's image. But can Jammeh cool it,will he ever listen to anyone. My point therefore,he is the greater obstacle and Mbowe's case is part of the signs and symptoms.
