Toubab here we come again on SCIENCE OF POLITICS! What if we consider APPROACHES; consideration of multidisciplines, apllying basic scientific methods to collate, analyse & deduce FACTS (i.e ANYTHING MEANINGFUL or ANY MEANINGFUL INFORMATION), to form a LOGICAL or REASONABLE conclusion inorder to take INFORM DECISIONS & RESOLUTIONS! Therefore in a broad or complex sense there could be (i.e. 'AM NOT SURE!') some rationale to appreciate that term.
We can leave it to academics or scientist to guide us! |

Yes Yes, Please do,I think its a load of c***p, my small brain gets overheated !(OK to some people its the vital flow of their lives, but for me its not) let's talk about transport, the price of rice, mobile phones, new street lights, new roads, things that everyone can relate to.Bantaba is getting very serious and at some times all the fun goes out of it.That is why people are reluctant to post they do not want to have to battle with those serious people and get into deep discussions. The link that follows is a sample of what I mean, picked at random,do you understand it blowed if I do!,but there again I am not brilliant I only have a small brain!!

Hi Toubab1020, don't worry - these days 'emotional intelligence' is even more important and i am sure you would get high grades in that department. I think there should be something for everybody: (Gambian and World)politics (i'm not too interested in those either, have been distrusting politics and politicians for decades now), social aspects, religion, practical things like the price of rice or the condition of the roads, solutions to 'bumsterism' (why are there so few reactions to that topic?). But i also think it is nice that people can show their 'true face' - here on Bantaba you can find all types of people of all kinds of different backgrounds, isn't that just great. Have to tell you this: i NEED to check new postings everyday, Bantaba has become a part of my daily routine and apart from a little bit of irritation here and there (that in weak moments make me think 'why bother') it gives me great pleasure to be able to have this exchange of thoughts with people from all over the world (even 'down under'). Momodou deserves it that we handle 'his' Bantaba with care, don't you think? |

Thanks Toubab for that pick of the day! Here in quotes:
"For the common law, the inheritance of Western liberty, provides the materials to move beyond the dead end of rights philosophies that are destroying liberty - destroying national sovereignty - nullifying attempts to establish law and order domestically and peace through strength abroad - upending the moral order upon which civilization rests - demanding the establishment of all-powerful energy management regimes - indeed, incessantly pushing for an all-powerful world government based on the concept of universal jurisdiction" = MODERN POLITICS = BY DEFAULT = BY DICTATES
".......bla bla bla It is a fundamental, root-and-branch rethink. Which is, at bottom, the crying need of our time.
Way forward is RE-THINKING PROCESS! |

As usual Anna I agree totally, I did not mean to imply that serious topics should not be aired of course they should (OK I may have implied that they shouldn't!!) I like Bantaba and I check daily as you do.Momodou has done a good service in letting guests come and post on his Homepage of which Bantaba forms a part, visitors should respect that its MOMODOU'S homepage and hopefully not expect him to be a moderator all that often,a difficult job if people think that you are against what they post and are not being fair.

contrary to the topic that people are going away from bantaba because of recent aggressive approaches. Seems like, discussions here became so addictive for many. Should I get some credit? |
diaspora! Too many Chiefs and Very Few Indians.
Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices. |

Point noted! Sound and clear on as in your own words (repeated quotes) below:-
"Yes Yes, Please do,I think its a load of c***p, my small brain gets overheated !(OK to some people its the vital flow of their lives, but for me its not) let's talk about transport, the price of rice, mobile phones, new street lights, new roads, things that everyone can relate to.Bantaba is getting very serious and at some times all the fun goes out of it.That is why people are reluctant to post they do not want to have to battle with those serious people and get into deep discussions."

Yes Inez its good to have FUN and share a LAUGH & whatever humor in this open forum! Thats good participation and I do tolerate that hype. However if impression given is not appreciated thats a breakdown of communication between us.
Toubab, many of Toubab's calibre and everybody out there! Its always nice to keep this forum interesting and resourceful.
HELP ME LEARN PLEASE BECAUSE I NEED IT! |
