Well said Gambia Bev, I value your opinion. I feel you have always come in for much critisicm and sarcasm on Bantaba -which I have found somewhat distastefyl, as you put alot of effort and commitment into being a member. Well done for staying with it,I think I would have run away ages ago !

No I like to stay here in jennah.

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices.

Thanks Turk for absolutely rejecting lead questions!(i.e. CERTAIN DICTATES OF WHAT YOU ARE ASSUMED TO BE THINKING OF, WORDS COMPOSED AND BEING FED TO ACCEPT AS YOUR RATIONALE OR ASSUMPTIONS ON HOW OTHERS PERCEIVED THINGS!).

Many thanks to you Turk for your posts and sharing your persoanl experience on this topic: (Posted - 10 Nov 2007 : 23:27:57 and Edited by - turk on 11 Nov 2007 08:45:28).

That posts is excellent as it constitutes all the interacting elements of Social sciences including politics, religion, racism & all forms of discriminations, conflicting ideologies, double standards and hypocrisy affecting MANKINDS ADVANCEMENT, DEVELOPMENT AND CIVILIZATION, WHY THERE ARE CONFLICTS AND NEED TO UNDERSTAND THEM IN PROPER PERSPECTIVE. In my view, thats how I appreciate the article and/or commoents (within my limitations of comprehension) as it suits the global world.

Also Lurker thanks for your intervention.

I pay tribute to the likes of Bob! because his music and visions was 'for the human race' and not 'for rat race!'

OH what have I missed, just come back from holidaying in The Gambia. I used to love reading responses on this particular site, they were so informative and interesting. There were of course disagreements, but nothing particularly offensive and everyone usually kissed and made up. I loved listening to Sister omega, Anne, Meme, serenata, Dalton's poem, and especially Mbay and his posts on the muslim religion. I loved lemontime's one liners, and toubab's sense of humour, who at the moment has gone all serious on us. Sab and his love of football, and of course not forgetting jambo who always comes across as a lovely genuine person.

However it seems that a certain person (and his little gang) is putting his own special stamp on this site. Very aggressive and opinionated, very critical, yet seems unable to take criticism himself. I see that certain people have been stroking his ego telling him what a brilliant person he is, now it looks like its gone to his head. He seems to have set himself up as a self appointed messenger ..only one problem we have heard the same old rhetoric a million times before.

The sad thing is I actually agreed with some of his opinions, but because he was so agressive it completely turned me off. As Ghandi once said "Whenever you have truth it must be given with love, or the message and the messenger will be rejected”

Such a brave little chap, who apparently isnt "scared"...but he never explained what he meant by that statement, but it gave me a bloody good laugh at the time. What a hypocrite, working for a prestigious uk company, I wonder if he spouted the same **** when he was working there.......me thinks not. With a chip permanantly grafted to his shoulder..look darling its not my fault that certain european countries wont let Turkey into the EU....

Oh poor kisley! Looking your response, I kind of regret that I have been very harsh on you. But it is great that you agreed with some of my opinions. Anyway, thanks for support for your Turkey becaming EU member.
