For the records Alhasana,
Thanks for the rejoinder.
I think my talented ex-budget imput manager would now tell the difference. Controller,Chief steward, chief cook or chef as what ever name you may call it.
I would do my self injustice if I did not tell you that I have not made any out-burst statements here my brother ex- budget imput manager.
Whether you know sanyang kunda at Lamin where Chief,,,,,,, Demba resides, is not my cup of tea. All am saying is He (Demba)was Jawara' cook.Whether chief cook chief steward or as you promotingly call it controller is not my problem!
Secondly, you are never more right with your that piece:(see below)
"(1)Is it the case of empty barrel making lots of noise?"
Again you said Mr. ex budget imput manager:"
If you are truly a family friend to Demba , why report fallacious things abt him? Maybe my English is not as good as yours, but can you tell me Mr.Ex.... what you meant on you above statement?
Have I said anything Fallacious?
Maybe I don't know what Fallacious means! So headmaster, tell me
I ask you my learned friend who brought Jerreh to state house as a steward?
You see socalled Madiba(A name Nelson Mandela is fondly called by his clans men/women),
You first asked me "what was wrong for a man to be able to cook which you just thought out of ignorant imaginations.,for I never on coate said there was anything wrong with it and now you accused me of saying fallacious things about Demba.
What is your problem if I say Demba was a cook and was giving junkung some left overs? Now if I don't have proofs show me the proof because I think you may have access to the old Re-current estimates pre- 1994!
Now I ask you my great teacher, tell me what is the difference between a chief cook chief steward and controller as interpreted by most Gambians?I belief these words are English and interpreting them from my understanding means unless otherwise as:
A chief cook would mean the head of the cooks, A chief steward could means either chief assistant or the head of all kitchen cleaners depending on where the stewardship is based.(As a steward mean assistant) Controller mean simply one who controls something/s.So if Demba was controller, what was he controlling? Was it the foodstuff? the cooking? the cleaning?the linen and care of the bed rooms or was it the entire household includding all the above?
Tell me if there is a different interpretation to the above?
My brother I think we have both worked for the former government and as knowledge is a verture, I belief I can learn a lot from you.I don't know whether you would be prepared to learn anything from my empty barrel. You may know one and I the other despite the barrel being empty.
I belief have also forgotten despite your vast knowledge that the sound from the barrel used to be and still serves as a great use to most people. So after all we are both not worthless( laughs).
Therefore what we have on issue right now is how to salvage our country from missery and bundage, Tyrany and vicious disappearances not character assasinations. This is a gambian thing and thats whay Jammeh can penetrate the opposition despite their vast degree knowledges against his high school one.
Please am not angry again as you unknowingly thought as you said truth we must write so I write mine!
Good nite my brother..laughs

Janyafara, Have you come down frm your mountain? This is medium of exchange, so making sweeping statements should be avoided. I for one learn alot on the information posted here.
I never meant to be angry in the first place. All i wanted was a clarification. I am happy that you did not take it personally.
I was not a budget input manager, just a simple civil servant trying hard to serve my people to the best of my ability. |
