| I see a woman hidden/covered in a shroud or veil, her beauty shielded from view , was it her choice , was it forced on her, to know the answer perhaps is by talking to her. That though depends on whether she does have that voice too, meaning does she have the right to protest or show her preference. The veil could as well be a reference to the restrictions on her very mode of life .This is what I could discern from the poem but like many poems one has to reach into the mind of the writer to be able to paraphrase the poem. Yours was full of meaning and as you can see various people read it differently thus the reactions. I liked the poem for its brevity. You did get a reaction which is ; at times what makes poets write their particular poems. Bravo brother. One cannot get every one to like/love any poem written and surely what one writes tells a lot about what one's feelings or line of thought he/she is following at each given moment. Am I correct ?, only you kay can tell. |
