The point newspaper Eric Tunde Janneh Fired Again Sheriffo Colley Bounces Back Friday 9th December 2005
By Abba A S Gibba
Barely two days after his reappointment as the Alkalo of Banjulinding, Mr Eric Tunde Janneh has once again been fired and was replaced on Friday, The Point confirmed.
The reason(s) for Mr Janneh’s latest sacking could not be established as we go to press but this paper can reveal that the former Banjulinding Alkalo was succeeded on Friday by Sherriffo Colley, a one-time holder of the portfolio.
When contacted, Colley confirmed his reappointment to this reporter but would not elaborate.
It would be recalled that sometime in July this year, Eric Tunde Janneh got sacked and was subsequently replaced by Sheriffo Colley.
However, five months down the line, Colley was also removed but interestingly bounced back two days after Janneh’s reappointment.
********************************************************************** Is this government out of their minds?

| Rainbow, this is a government that liked to play double standards. They are trying to please certain people as elections gets closer. As former president Jawara said, "Nyo bonding bonging kaa kafoo teyele." It is just matter of time. |

Mandela, this is the fact. He is taking the two former chiefs of Kombo South (Sheriffo Janneh and Lamin Darbo) to Hajj this year. These two were unceremoniously removed from their positions and Sheriffo Janneh was even kept uncommunicado for weeks.
He is now trying to bribe them by taking them to mecca and they have to go by force. |
