Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices.

I have a 10 month old son and Subhana Allah whenever we are praying (especially during magrib and Isha) he will be quite and listening attentively. I recite the quran to him all the time and he seems to enjoy it. Also there are many "experts" when it comes to taking care of babies, so always seek real expert advice when you can.

"...Verily, in the remembrance of Allâh do hearts find rest..." Sura Al-Rad (Chapter 13, Verse 28)

...Gambian by birth, Muslim by the grace of Allah...

I found quran to be amazing literature. As we all know arabic is superior language, listening holy quran that has nice ryhmes may be good idea those who believe in islam. Babies usually like music.

The grammar, the vocabulary, literature. If you study arabic language and literature you would see how superiour language arabic would be.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arabic

For example, turkish was not as good as arabic (actually one of the least developed language in the world), ottoman sultans and all the intellectuals were studying arabic literature especially arabic poetry. Arabic used to be translated to european language between 7th to 15th centuries for scientific and philosophical reasons. Translations were reasons the enlightenment in europe.

Anyway, for example in english god is referred as 'god'. In arabic there are 99 qualities of God as a name. Rahman, Rahim, Kareem etc.. There are many vocabularies for each possible meaning. For example, in english you can use 'get' for several other meaning. In arabic, there are different words for most meanings. It is very ancient language related to hebrew and aramic and based on african languages.

Am I missing something why you sound like you are offended.
