I just watched documentary from Turkey where in rural areas, solar cooker became so popular many villagers are using solar cook as they reduce LPG consumption by 30 %, electricity by 10 %. These are big numbers. What is the situation in Gambia. Are they being used?

no to my knowledge, it is still fire cooking, some houses tdo have calor gas but that is the exception and not the norm.

If it works it could help fighting desertification, an excellent idea. I would like to know more about these cookers.
