i was listening to bbc news this morning and the topic was about the lack of black role models .who can be a role model ? why can't african blacks living in england be role models to british young blacks ? i intend to write to the guardian news paper proposing why african blacks in england should be seen as possable role models. what do you think .
this debate is spark due to the continous killings among the youth population mainly blacks .i have very harsh words for our black and mix race sport stars .more later .

Santa, you're right! I too think this is the result of the recent spate of black-on-black shootings/stabbings which have taken place in England combined with various reports which found that many children in black/mixed families are being brought up without the father being there. The government are looking for a quick fix and think this is the way forward, it would seem .....

Over the past years 'The Voice' have taken many measures towards helping the African men & boys - particularly in debates, education & towards role models. It is nothing new, the fact is our Government play act towards the media.
Too many white men & women in suits listen but do not understand where the culture OR youth are coming from.
It will be those in casual dress/in track suits who will be able to speak the same language and get a desired action and programme together.

More African teachers are needed in education.

Yes, I agree with you - but the voice's that count do not remain consistent - again they go with the media!
I have no doubt apathy set's in whilst attempting to deal with politicians etc., & the Politicians see it as a stalling method thinking it will go away.

Of course, we need to get our own 'law & order establishments' to that of a Role Model before we start pointing the finger at others!

wahan ka deca sab ,the miscarriage of justice takes different forms. a book call the poor go to prison and the rich go free will be wonderful read. in reality ,our own house in not in order .but the politicians are not helping ,all they want is to score cheap popularity .shame. but on a more promising note ,you are well aware of the institutions and the powers that be .
i was refuse entry into belgium last week for no apparent reason ,but that is the world for us now.i have all my right documents ,every thing in order ,but ,the interrior minister they say have the final say .i thought it is my beard but they say many muslims venture into belgium no problem .but hey ,it save me some dos.
