If for anything, I am fully rallied behind Editor Baldeh, just that different minds read different ways. At this point, we mourn with Demba's inlaws, and all information we gathered while investigating the said story is suspended till further notice. We regret any inconvenience caused by the said news story to the Tambajang family. In effect, we are moving on, and we welcome all those that want to comment on it.
Regards, Yero.

While the family of late Tambajang (RIP) reserve the exclusive right to prefer not having their deceased member brought to the spotlisght, there is reason to praise Gainako for shading light on the days of Tambajang. He was a public figure who played a particular role in a given epoch of history. That is something for the records and Gainako is not wrong placing it where it belongs. It is possible that in the current political atmosphere, to raise the profile of past key players could be seen as lowering the image of the prevailing powers that be. A logical link between Kukoi and Jammeh is their shared ambition of seizing power by force. Kukoi failed because men like late Tambajang blocked his way. Jammeh made it in the absence of such resistence. The rest is history; to be told or to be written. The family of Tambajang deserve due respect. Gainako served a purpose for records and that's no crime either. |
